Abstract: Described herein are techniques for a computing device executing a windowing system that automatically maintains a tiled arrangement of application windows on a first display and on a second display. A user interface element has indicia of applications that can be used to open the applications. Responsive to a first user input the user interface element is displayed on the first display, and while the user interface element is displayed on the first display, the windowing system maintains two or more of the application windows in a tiled arrangement on the second display. The user interface element may be part of a system user interface and may be implemented in a variety of ways. For example, it may be a full-screen set of application representations, possibly user selected, or a list of recently used applications, or a list of open applications, etc.

Abstract: Described herein are embodiments performed by a computing device capable of having a first display and a second display. The device may also execute a windowing system. Arbitrary applications execute on the computing device. Each such application has a corresponding application window managed by the windowing system. A start-projecting request may be received from an arbitrary one of the applications, and the windowing system may respond to the start request by generating, displaying, and managing a projection window. The application may generate and display content via the projection window. Responsive to the start-projecting request, display information about the first display and the second display may be used by the windowing system to display the projection window. A stop-projecting request from the application may cause the windowing system to terminate the projection window.

Abstract: A customizable modular speaker system. The system includes one or more acoustic modules; one or more optional spacer modules coupled to the acoustic modules; and one or more end caps that can be coupled to the acoustic or spacer modules. The modules and endcaps, when assembled, formed a substantially continuous T-slot. The T-slot is capable of engaging a wall mounting cradle which in turn can affix the speaker to a surface with a mounting bracket to create a wall mounted speaker. In other instances, where a shelf or tower speaker is desired, the T-slot engages a spine mounted in a base. The present modular system allows for the same components to be assembled into a bookshelf speaker, a tower speaker, a sound bar, or a wall speaker.

Abstract: A control layout for a game console that supports intuitive play of a game comprising both first person point of view (FPPOV) and third person point of view (TPPOV) control elements. The game control layout uses a plurality of functions that support in-depth third person control and large-scale unit commands that require a minimum of buttons to achieve complex motion and strategic decision making.

Abstract: An architectural speaker assembly includes a speaker supported within the speaker enclosure of a mounting fixture. A grill is provided to conceal the speaker. A grill support is configured to support the grill substantially flush with a facing ring of the mounting fixture to blend into the surrounding ceiling or wall. The grill support includes a concave wall that surrounds the speaker. A number of bosses project form the wall, each boss supporting a permanent magnet that magnetically engages the grill to firmly hold it on the grill support.
