  • Patent number: 7552493
Abstract: A system for transferring a body from a first surface to a second surface, or supporting a body during such translation with substantially no agitation of the body, is provided. A pad configured for use on a plurality of patient support surfaces, e.g., with the transfer system, can comprise a main portion dimensioned to substantially cover a first support surface, a supplemental portion configured to combine with the main portion to substantially cover a second support surface dimensioned larger than the first support surface, and at least one living hinge coupling the main portion to the supplemental portion and configured to adapt the pad for use between the first support surface and second support surface.

  • Patent number: 4953059
Abstract: A plurality of trapezoidal wedges in a channel for retaining a PCB heat sink are held in place by spring force provided by a compression spring inside the bottom end wedge. The compression forces provided by the spring are mainly effective to prevent twisting of wedges on the absence of a heat sink and to provide at least some degree of heat transfer between the heat sink and the chassis even if the responsible technician neglects to torque down the wedges.

  • Patent number: 4779674
Abstract: A printed circuit board heat sink retainer is disclosed comprising a mating pair of sawtoothed bars with slidably engaging teeth. The bars are laterally spread apart and held by a forcing device, which may be a screw or a spring, in order to push against and hold a heat sink in a channel. The distance between successive teeth may be constant in both bars or may be constant in one bar and may decrease in a direction toward the forcing device in the second bar.
