Patent number: 10785922Abstract: A planter apparatus is disclosed herein. The planter apparatus includes a growth chamber; a transmissivity-reducing window adjustable from a substantially opaque state to a substantially transparent state. The window can include a first transmissivity-reducing layer and a second transmissivity-reducing layer coupled to the first transmissivity-reducing layer, and at least a portion of the growth chamber is viewable through the window when the window is in the substantially transparent state. The planter apparatus includes a transmissivity controller for operating the window between the substantially opaque state and the substantially transparent state. For example, the first transmissivity-reducing layer can include a switching film and the second transmissivity-reducing layer can include a gel filter.Type: GrantFiled: May 3, 2018Date of Patent: September 29, 2020Assignee: Grobo Inc.Inventor: Christopher Thiele

Patent number: 8756123Abstract: Various embodiments of systems and methods for inventory verification using inventory snapshots are described herein. In response to a first inventory posting in a current time period, a current open inventory snapshot is created with inventory information. If there is a previously open inventory snapshot that is created in a previous time period before the current period, then the previously open inventory snapshot is closed. To verify inventory for a past time period, a difference between an inventory snapshot that is valid for the past time period and an inventory snapshot that is valid for a time period previous to the past time period is compared with aggregated inventory change confirmations posted in the past time period. An error indicator is provided if there is a mismatch between the difference and the aggregated inventory change confirmations.Type: GrantFiled: December 10, 2010Date of Patent: June 17, 2014Assignee: SAP AGInventors: Roland Trapp, Matthias Asal, Wolfgang Barheine, Achim Heger, Christopher Thiele

Patent number: 8527957Abstract: Systems, methods, computer program products, and the like for testing to validate software operations are described. A first part of a test can be executed in a tenant currently having a first system state. The tenant can be transitioned from the first system state to a second system state. The transitioning can have an unknown effect on a business process or business scenario running in the tenant. A second part of the test can be executed in the tenant while the tenant is in the second system state. Upon completion of the test, it can be determined whether the transition of the tenant from the first system state to the second system state negatively impacts the running of the business process or business scenario.Type: GrantFiled: November 5, 2010Date of Patent: September 3, 2013Assignee: SAP AGInventors: Christopher Thiele, Markus Schierle, Joachim Altmeyer, Matthias Becker, Vitor Eduardo Seifert Bazzo
