  • Publication number: 20240052583
Abstract: A method and system for guiding a road construction machine using a machine guidance system comprising at least one each of a machine position sensor, a laser-based sensor, and a processing unit. The machine position sensor first measures a position of a road construction machine relative to a road boundary condition. The laser-based sensor then captures a series of scans corresponding to the boundary condition. The processing unit, using the scans, determines an ideal path of travel for the road construction machine. Based on the ideal travel path, the machine guidance system provides instructions to align the current travel path of the road construction machine to the ideal travel path.

  • Publication number: 20240035468
Abstract: A flangeless fluid end comprising a fluid end body releasably attached to a connect plate. The connect plate is attached to a power source using stay rods. The flow bores of the fluid end are sealed without threading a retainer nut into the walls of each bore. Instead, the flow bores are sealed by bolting a retainer to the fluid end body. Plungers to drive fluid through the fluid end body are installed within removable stuffing box sleeves. These sleeves are maintained within the plunger bores by the bolted retainers. A number of features, including the location of seals within bore walls and carbide inserts within valve structures, aid in reducing or transferring wear.

  • Publication number: 20230418813
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed toward systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media for generating and providing a hybrid search-and-browse interface for accurately and efficiently locating and presenting targeted genealogical content items. For example, the disclosed systems generate and provide a multi-layered navigational structure using browse trees that represent categories of genealogical content items, where each successive browse tree in the hybrid search-and-browse interface narrows the search results from the one before based on some (selected) criteria. In some cases, to support a hybrid search-and-browse interface, the hybrid search-and-browse system generates and maintains a facet index for genealogical content items stored in a database as a basis for generating and providing browse trees for navigating through search results of content items.

  • Publication number: 20230313890
Abstract: A valve having a nose joined to a strike face. The strike face is configured to engage a tapered sealing surface formed on a component having a central fluid bore. The valve and component are configured to be installed within a fluid end. When the strike face of the valve engages the tapered sealing surface of the component, the nose is installed within the central fluid bore of the component. In operation, fluid is restricted from flowing between the strike face and the tapered sealing surface until fluid pressure has pushed the nose entirely out of the central fluid bore, thereby increasing the cross-sectional area available for fluid flow.

  • Patent number: 11774939
Abstract: Methods of managing aggregate inventory. The methods include utilizing a dynamic protocol for an oilfield operation with aggregate from chambers of a multi-silo system wherein each chamber accommodates a single aggregate type throughout operations. However, the chambers also have a dynamic classification as either active, idle or reserved depending on the stage of operations. Once more, even though each silo may accommodate multiple chambers, unique techniques may be utilized to obtain real-time inventory information for each chamber via weight measurement of entire silos.
