Abstract: A utensil housing unit is disclosed herein comprising a housing block for the storage of utensils including knives and other sharp utensils, a cover, when it is in the closed position, completely covers the top surface of the housing block to prevent access to any of the stored utensils as well as a lock to secure the cover in place. This utensil housing unit provides a sate way to store sharp utensils so that injuries, especially to children, do not occur.
