  • Patent number: 10240694
Abstract: A co-molded sealing ring for use in an electrical fitting has an uncompressed state and a compressed state and includes a first segment formed from thermoplastic elastomer and a second segment co-molded to the first segment, formed from a medium-density polyethylene material. A space formed between the first segment and an inner surface of an electrical fitting connector body when the ring is in the uncompressed state, is at least partially filled by a portion of the first segment when the ring is in the compressed state; the second segment having an end surface positioned away from the first segment, the end surface dimensioned for contact by a gland ring so as to urge the sealing ring into the compressed state so that the first segment forms a seal between the inner surface of the connector body and an outer surface of a conduit positioned within the connector body.

  • Patent number: 9787070
Abstract: A raintight compression connector has a connector body with first and second portions and a bore extending therethrough for connection to a conduit. An upper sealing ring is dimensioned to contact the connector body to make sealing contact with a conduit. The upper sealing ring has first, second and third regions. The first region has a first sloping surface to contact a recess shoulder in the connector body and the third region has a third sloping surface to contact an inner surface of the connector body. Specific slopes for these sloping surfaces are disclosed. The upper sealing ring can also be used in a raintight compression coupler.

  • Patent number: 9343883
Abstract: A raintight compression connector has a connector body with first and second portions and a bore extending therethrough. The first portion is dimensioned for receipt of an EMT or RMC conduit. A gland nut threads onto the first portion and a split compression ring contacts the gland nut so as to secure the connector body to the conduit. An upper sealing ring makes sealing contact with the conduit; and a wedge-shaped sealing ring is positioned in the bore of first portion against a shoulder formed in the first portion. The sealing ring contacts a terminating face of the conduit so as to pliably deform around the face so as to form a watertight seal. The second portion is securable to an enclosure. A coupler with two portions similar to the first portion of the connector has corresponding components to form a watertight seal with two conduits.

  • Patent number: 9243723
Abstract: A mounting clamp for securing a conduit to a surface is disclosed. The clamp has a strap and a clampback. The clampback has a conduit support on one end portion and a curved section on another end portion. The strap has a first strap portion facing the conduit support and a second strap portion connected to the curved section to allow the first strap portion to bend toward or away from the conduit support. The first strap portion has at least one curved portion with a first radius of curvature to secure a conduit of a first range of sizes, and another curved portion with a second radius of curvature to secure a conduit of a second range of sizes that is partially different from the first range of sizes. The conduit support portion has two sidewalls spaced from each other, each with a curved segment to receive the conduit.

  • Patent number: 8464987
Abstract: An adjustable conduit clamp to secure a conduit to a structure has a clampback and a strap that interfits therewith. The clampback has sidewalls configured to be placed against a structure and a portion of each sidewall configured to support a conduit. A first spacer is positioned between the sidewalls at a first region of the sidewalls and a second spacer positioned between the sidewalls at a second region. A cantilever member extends from the second spacer and is positioned between the first and second sidewalls, the cantilever member having a free end movable relative to the sidewalls and spaced from an end of the first spacer so as to form an opening therebetween for passage of the strap. The strap has a first end portion shaped to contact a conduit and a second end portion dimensioned for passage through the opening in the clampback.
