    Abstract: Fishing lures and methods of making fishing lures involve the use of plastic film to cover a weight or other part of a lure between the eye of the hook and its bend. The plastic film may be attached to the hook shank by tying one or more knots adjacent the weight. An integral portion of the plastic film may extend beyond the hook and be configured to resemble the tail of an aquatic creature.
