Patent number: 12271969Abstract: Augmented reality-based training systems that can dynamically construct and render AR content based on physical attributes of a user to train the user to correctly fit one or more articles of a personal protective equipment (PPE) onto the user's body. In some examples, an AR system includes a display and a computing device having a memory and one or more processors. The memory can include instructions that, when executed by the processors, simulate a fitting of PPE to a worker. The system can capture an image of a worker, select a digital model of the PPE, determine alignment of the PPE to the worker, and output for display augmented reality content that includes a composite image of the worker overlaid with the digital model of the PPE in accordance with the determined alignment.Type: GrantFiled: May 5, 2021Date of Patent: April 8, 2025Assignee: 3M Innovative Properties CompanyInventors: Claire R. Patent number: 11991681Abstract: A station (STA), which supports multiple spatial streams, can, and sometimes does, re-advertise the station as supporting less spatial stream (SS) than the actual number of spatial streams that the device does actually support. In some embodiments, a station's maximum advertised maximum number of spatial streams is proactively reduced based on the station's throughput being below one or more thresholds. In some embodiments, the analysis and level of spatial stream value to be reported in a re-advertisement is determined by the access point. In some other embodiments, the analysis and level of spatial stream value to be reported in a re-advertisement is determined by the station. The access point allocating its limited supported spatial streams among stations is able to more efficiently allocate the air link resources.Type: GrantFiled: April 12, 2021Date of Patent: May 21, 2024Assignee: Charter Communications Operating, LLCInventors: Taren G. McCullough, Matthew Dillon, Christopher W. Watson

Patent number: 11943635Abstract: Methods and apparatus for facilitating the deployment of a wireless extender in combination with a base station at a customer premises are described. Support is provided for data rate testing in combination with configuring one or more aspects of the system such as wireless extender and/or base station transmission power level. By using testing a system can be deployed where one or more devices may use transmission power levels which are less than the maximum permitted transmission power level while still supporting an expected data rate corresponding to a subscriber service level in a reliable manner. In various embodiments DFS channel black and/or white lists are generated for each link taking into consideration the determined transmit power to be used for a given link.Type: GrantFiled: August 2, 2021Date of Patent: March 26, 2024Assignee: CHARTER COMMUNICATIONS OPERATING, LLCInventors: Matthew Dillon, Taren G. McCullough, Christopher W. Watson

Patent number: 11012912Abstract: According to one configuration, a first wireless access point communicates probe request communications to a mobile communication device. The first wireless access point monitors power levels associated with probe response communications from the mobile communication device. Via the monitored power levels, the communication management resource quantifies motion of the mobile communication device with respect to the first wireless access point and a corresponding region of wireless coverage provided by the first wireless access point. The communication management resource selects amongst multiple neighboring wireless access points in which to handoff the mobile communication device based on a prediction of which of the multiple wireless access points will provide a best chance of successfully receiving a handoff of a mobile communication device and corresponding wireless communication link from the first wireless access point.Type: GrantFiled: May 6, 2019Date of Patent: May 18, 2021Assignee: Charter Communications Operating, LLCInventors: Christopher W. Patent number: 10736051Abstract: To reduce wireless interference (noise) in a network environment, a management resource communicates a notification to multiple wireless access points. The notification indicates a wireless power transmit test to be performed with respect to the primary wireless access point in a vicinity of the multiple wireless access points. In accordance with the wireless power transmit test, the primary wireless access point transmits multiple test communications at different wireless power levels from the primary wireless access point to the multiple wireless access points. The multiple wireless access points generate feedback based on their ability to receive the test communications. The feedback indicates wireless power levels at which the multiple wireless access points receive the test communications at different power levels from the primary wireless access point.Type: GrantFiled: September 17, 2018Date of Patent: August 4, 2020Assignee: Charter Communications Operating, LLCInventors: Taren G.
