  • Publication number: 20230411999
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a wirelessly rechargeable hearing device having inductive charging circuitry comprising a receiver coil, which has a plurality of receiver coil windings surrounding a winding-free area. The hearing device further comprises a magnetic component configured to magnetically engage with another magnetic component comprised outside the hearing device and the magnetic component is further arranged within a volume that extends perpendicularly from the winding-free area. Further, the disclosure relates to a charger for the wirelessly rechargeable hearing device, where the charger comprises a magnetic component arranged within a volume that extends perpendicularly from a winding-free area defined by transmitter coil windings. Lastly, a system comprising the wirelessly rechargeable hearing device and the charger is disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20230276180
Abstract: Disclosed is a hearing device comprising an antenna and a wireless communication unit, the wireless communication unit being coupled to the antenna, the wireless communication unit and the antenna being configured for transmission and reception of electromagnetic signals. The hearing device comprises a detector configured to detect a reflected power signal indicating an amount of power reflected towards the wireless communication unit from the antenna and a processing unit configured to receive the reflected power signal, and to determine a state of the hearing device, including a first state in which the hearing device is not worn in its operational position in or at the ear of a user. Disclosed is also a method of determining a state of a hearing device, including a state in which the hearing device is not worn in its operational position in or at the ear of a user.

  • Publication number: 20220377470
Abstract: Disclosed is a hearing aid configured to be worn at a user's ear. The hearing aid comprises an input transducer for generating one or more input signals based on a received audio signal. The hearing aid comprises a signal processor configured for processing the one or more input signals. The hearing aid comprises an output transducer for providing an audio output signal based on an output signal from the signal processor. The hearing aid comprises a switched-mode power supply (SMPS) for providing electric power to the hearing aid. The switched-mode power supply (SMPS) comprises a first coil component and a second coil component. The first coil component and the second coil component are arranged to provide electromagnetic noise reduction in the hearing aid.
