  • Patent number: 11010321
Abstract: A high speed single bridge system providing network and data transfer capabilities, implemented via standard input/output (I/O) devices, protocols, cables and components, to interconnect two or more host computing systems, and to provide connections to peripherals. One aspect of the invention connects two or more host systems via USB ports and cables, establishing network, control, data exchange, and power management required to route and transfer data at high speeds. A second aspect provides for a symmetrical port that senses Host and Peripheral connections so as to provide a single apparatus for connecting Hosts and Peripherals at any port. Requiring only a single link, the invention requires significantly fewer components than existing designs. The method describes how two or more connected host systems detect one another, and establish separate control communication and data exchange bridges, wherein control sequences generated by an application on a host direct operation of the bridging apparatus.

  • Patent number: 10437765
Abstract: A High Speed Link System providing network and data transfer capabilities, implemented via standard input/output (I/O) device controllers, protocols, cables and components, to connect one or more Host computing systems, comprising a System, Apparatus and Method is claimed; and described in one or more embodiments. An illustrative embodiment of the invention connects two or more Host systems via USB 3.0 ports and cables, establishing Network, Control, Data Exchange, and Power management required to route and transfer data at high speeds, as well as resource sharing. A Link System established using USB 3.0 operates at the full 4.8 Gbps, eliminating losses inherent when translating to, or encapsulating within, a network protocol, such as the Internet Protocol. Method claimed herein describes how two or more connected Host systems, detect one another, and establish separate communication and data exchange bridges, wherein control sequences from the Hosts' application direct the operation of the Apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20060249006
Abstract: A device for dampening sounds produced by a drumhead of a musical drum having a drumshell comprising a frame assembly having a first elongated bar member with a first channel and a second elongated bar member with a second channel. The two bar members are disposed in opposed spaced apart parallel relation. Mounting brackets are affixed and secured to the two bar members at their opposing ends. Attached, respectively, to the two mounting brackets between the two bar members are the opposing ends of an assembly of snare wires. The mounting brackets are also provided to connect the assembly to the drumshell and are vertically adjustable between a high tension position such that the snare wires are moved to press against the drumhead and a lower tension position in which the wires are caused to relax to enable the release of tension of the wires against the drumhead.

  • Publication number: 20050119964
Abstract: A computer network and method for electronically trading combinations of derivatives. One preferred method of trading includes providing quotes information to a central server, and determining indicative quotes for combination trades, and providing the non-binding, indicative quotes to market participants (which typically includes subscribers, but may also include market makers). A participant may then submit an e-RFQ, which is a request for a binding quote for the combination of derivatives. Market Makers may then elect to submit a binding quote for the corresponding derivative combination. Market participants may then elect to enter a binding order.
