  • Patent number: 10197361
Abstract: A multipurpose reticle has a transparent body that the reticle is marked onto; a primary horizontal crosshair; a secondary horizontal crosshair below the primary horizontal crosshair and parallel to the primary horizontal crosshair; a projectile holdover reference grid between the primary horizontal crosshair and the secondary horizontal crosshair; and a vertical crosshair beginning from the primary horizontal crosshair and extending downwardly to the secondary horizontal crosshair. The vertical crosshair is a shared vertical crosshair. The vertical crosshair bisects the projectile holdover reference grid such that the right half of the projectile holdover reference grid is to the right of the vertical crosshair and the left half of the projectile holdover reference grid is to the left of the vertical crosshair.

  • Patent number: 9021249
Abstract: The need for upload security arises during content sharing between users in communication link with each other and a server. In one embodiment, providing the upload security involves the server identifying a mobile device that sends an upload message destined to a user. Providing the upload security further involves the server accessing opt-in parameters predetermined by the user, determining if the identity of the sending mobile device is included in the opt-in parameters, and, if so, allowing the upload to the user's account, otherwise blocking the upload. The opt-in parameters include the identity of mobile devices that are authorized by the user to upload data to the user's account. In one embodiment, the communication link includes a wireless carrier network with capability for security screening of the upload message before it reaches the server based on the identity of the wireless carrier network.

  • Patent number: 7584225
Abstract: The need for backup and restore arises in a mobile device based system when a client application is discarded along with its historical record. In a system that provides the backup and restore capability, a server is configured with a request handler, an application storage upload/download handler, and a device storage mirror database. In a mobile device (also client), the transaction listener provides a transaction associated with memory items to the crumb sticker which, in turn, sends to the request handler a recording request with the transaction along with a request URL (uniform resource locator). The data for the recording request is channeled from the client storage to the device storage mirror database via the application storage upload/download handler. The memory items are accumulated in a file at the client and in a backup at the device storage mirror database, and are restorable to the client from the backup.

  • Patent number: 7562606
Abstract: A multi-bit driver comprises a housing and a plurality of bit assemblies operatively retained within the housing. At least one of the bit assemblies has a base portion and a tool bit member removably and replaceably mountable on the base portion. A bit chuck in the housing is for receiving each tool bit member singularly in torque transmitting relation, and includes a bit-receiving opening for permitting each tool bit member singularly to extend therethrough. The housing includes a substantially transparent forward portion that permits viewing of the tool bit members. An actuator extends from each bit assembly exteriorly to the housing for operative engagement by a user, for co-operative movement of the actuator means and the bit assembly between a retracted configuration, a forwardly extended in-use configuration.

  • Publication number: 20050197141
Abstract: A wireless system includes a plurality of mobile devices having a ‘back’ command input that prompts backwards navigation. The system further includes a carrier network, a network including the Internet, and a server. The plurality of mobile devices are interconnected with the server via the carrier network and the network and are capable of communicating with each other via the server. One or more than one mobile devices has, in addition to the ‘back’ command input, a memory for receiving a mobile client application from the server. The mobile client application is responsive to the ‘back’ command input by providing for the backwards navigation through screens in ‘back in sequence’ mode and ‘back a level’ mode. The ‘back’ logic that provides the backwards navigation is implemented in the mobile client application outside the browser environment and independent of the platform.

  • Publication number: 20050198262
Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing quality of service (QoS) measurements for remote-access users of a virtual private network (VPN) utilizes hardware/software at the remote VPN client to collect information related to the remote client's ability to connect to the VPN and remain connected. A centralized server is configured to query each remote client and upload the collected connection data, the server functioning to analyze the collected data to determine QoS information in terms of, for example, “VPN accessibility” (defined as success rate for connection to VPN servers), “VPN sustainability” (defined as the ability to maintain a network connection), and “VPN availability” (defined as the ability of a persistent remote-access location to maintain its network connect). The QoS measurements allow the VPN service provider to improve the experience of remote access users, generate alarms and reports, and may also be used to form service level agreements (SLAs) with such users.
