    Abstract: An isotopic ratio outlier analysis (IROA) standard sample of metabolite compounds is disclosed. Each of whose compounds has a molecular weight of 2000 AMU or less, and is present as first and second isotopomers that are equally present at two predetermined isotopomeric balances, and contain 2 to 10% of a first isotope, and 90 to 98% of a second isotope, respectively. An internal standard is also disclosed that contains the same metabolite compounds as the IROA standard sample, but contains only compounds containing the heavier of the two isotopes. Methods of making and using the above and related materials are also disclosed.

    Abstract: An electrode stimulation delivery system is described having a unit and a network of wireless remote electrodes configured for implantation within a plurality of spaced apart locations in the tissue, e.g. myocardium, of a patient. The control unit is configured to be positioned at or subcutaneous to the patient's skin, and includes a processor, an antenna configured for delivering RF energy in proximity to the plurality of wireless remote electrodes, and programming executable on the processor for wirelessly communicating to the network of wireless remote electrodes via the delivered RF energy to individually control pacing of the plurality of wireless remote electrodes. Each of the plurality of wireless remote electrodes comprises a metamaterial-based biomimetic harvesting antenna comprising a Van Atta array zero-phase transmission lines to receive the RF energy to power activation of the plurality of wireless remote electrodes.

    Abstract: An animal trap for catching animals in an unharmed manner, comprises a cage having a top, a bottom, a pair of side walls, a first end wall, and a second end wall. There is an opening in said cage, and a door means located in the first end wall. A platform is adapted to receive and retain bait used to attract animals and also adapted to receive at least a portion of the body of an animal to be trapped, said platform having a set position and an actuated position, with retaining means for retaining said platform in said set position. The retaining means releases the platform upon introduction of at least a portion of the weight of the animal, whereby the platform is moved from its set position to its actuated position upon being released. The door means has a set position and an actuated position, and is in the set position when the platform is in its set position.
