  • Publication number: 20240378028
Abstract: Automatically generating code and related artifacts from an abstract model of a legacy database, an entity relationship diagram, or other schema. The model may be analyzed to detect normalization, rationalization, naming conventions, structure conventions, and other anomalies and may be used to suggest scripted solutions for resolving the discovered anomalies. The generated code may be exposed and further extendable.

  • Publication number: 20240378029
Abstract: A method or system uses AI-based enhancement to improve an initial model, such as an abstract model of a database, before the abstract model is submitted to an automated code author. The AI, which may be a generative AI, can assist with identifying parts of the abstract model (such as UML artifacts) and suggest revisions, according to a series of interactions between a developer and AI. The result of this interaction with the AI is then used to revise or augment the abstract model. Ultimately, the AI-enhanced model is consumed by a code author to generate application source code.

  • Patent number: 11693652
Abstract: Automatically generating code and related artifacts such as application programming interfaces (APIs) and related documentation from an abstract model of a database. The abstract model is derived from a physical model which may be a source such as a legacy database, an entity relationship diagram, or other schema defining the data tables, objects, entities, or relationships etc. of the source. The generated code may be exposed (that is, made visible to the developer in its pre-compiled state) and further configurable and extendable. Any such extended code is maintained separately from generated code. An API and related documentation are also generated from the same abstract model.

Abstract: Automatically generating code from an abstract model of a database. The abstract model is derived from a physical model which may be a source such as a legacy database, an entity relationship diagram, or other schema defining the data tables, objects, entities, or relationships etc. of the source. The generated code exhibits several patterns, interfaces and/or features including (a) separation of generated and developer code (b) context patterns (c) response/action patterns (d) language, database interfaces, operating systems and/or (e) user interface patterns.

  • Patent number: 11314489
Abstract: Before generating code from an abstract model of a data store, the model is first analyzed to detect normalization, rationalization, naming conventions, structure conventions, and other anomalies. The analysis is scored, and the score may be weighted. The analysis also suggests scripted solutions for resolving the discovered anomalies. A developer may then choose to implement one or more of the suggested solutions prior to code generation. The score may be compared to a threshold and result used to gate subsequent actions. For example, generation of code from the abstract model may be prevented until such time as anomalies are sufficiently addressed so that the score meets a minimum threshold score.

  • Publication number: 20110119165
Abstract: A system and method of use for Access Files and Transferrable Access Right System for digital intellectual properties (IP). An IP-User gain paid, sponsored or free access of specific level of Access Right to remotely archived digital IP. Using the system's custodial software installed in the IP-User's access device, the IP-User downloads a copy of potentially large digital IP for local access and creates Overlays of value-added information for the digital IP. The Access Right and the Overlay information are stored in a small protected Access File. The large digital IP is deleted after each use, if desired, for security purposes or to save local memory space. The Access Files are stored in local protected folders and optionally stored securely in the remote IP archive system and they are indexed, searchable and retrievable by keywords and partial information.

  • Publication number: 20110119097
Abstract: A system and method of use for enhancing the utility of facilities suitable for presentation and viewing of Intellectual Property (IP). The system includes a rights management system for storing and managing information relating to IP having information associated therewith including IP-Owners and terms of use of the IP including royalties; a facility availability database system for storing and managing information relating to the availability of the facility; an audience contacting system for enabling a stakeholder to contact individuals targeted by the stakeholder as the audience for viewing the IP; a booking system enabling the stakeholder to arrange exhibition of the IP at the facility at specific times and terms; an information database for storing information relating to stakeholders and individuals of an audience; and a revenue determination, collection, accounting and royalty distribution system.

  • Patent number: 7856414
Abstract: A system and method of use for permanently archiving intellectual properties (IP) in a digital archival system. An owner contributes each IP with an initial financial contribution including a discrete archival endowment which is sufficient to fund archival of the IP for an assured archival period. A plurality of discrete archival endowments can be pooled into one or more archival endowment funds, jointly managed for the maintenance of each archived IP. The endowment funds can be managed by a trustee separate from the management of the digital archive. Retrieval can be funded through retrieval fees or an endowment maintained separate from the archival endowment fund. Digital rights management can remunerate owners and revenue tracking can capitalize the value of each IP. Access to the archive system is preferably through a variety of membership options including owners, users, and partners.

  • Patent number: 7194490
Abstract: A technical and commercial method of managing information is provided including an endowment fund associated with each of the plurality of information or intellectual property (IP) to be archived. The endowment fund assures the maintenance and storage of the archived IP. Further, the endowment fund is managed separately from the user fees to ensure its enduring integrity and long term viability, with the user fees being applicable to user's access to the IP through an electronic communications network. Endowment funds for archived IP can be pooled for increased permanence. User's access to the archived IP can be managed including assignment of an access level and a cost for access. Users can access and amend a value-added access file associated with, yet separate from, the archived IP.

  • Publication number: 20020178015
Abstract: A technical and commercial method of managing information comprises the steps of: providing an information storage and retrieval system containing plural intellectual property; enabling access to the information storage and retrieval system by users through an electronic communications network for a fee; grading the users according to access privilege; creating for the user an access file for each of the intellectual properties; associating each access file with a corresponding intellectual property; and indexing the intellectual property by the associated access file; whereby the intellectual property may be located more easily through the access files. The amendment of intellectual property includes saving an instruction as to how to achieve the amendment and of indexing the instruction so as to easily retrieve it. The system is financed through an endowment trust so as to assure long term viability.
