  • Publication number: 20240057296
Abstract: In some aspects, the techniques described herein relate to a cooling system for a computing device. The cooling system includes an air-cooled cooling system located in a housing. The air-cooled cooling system includes a heat sink thermally connected to a processor, an air-cooling radiator, and a heat pipe connecting the heat sink to the air-cooling radiator. The cooling system includes a liquid-cooled cooling system located in the housing. The liquid-cooled cooling system includes a cold plate thermally connected to a to the heat sink, a pump, a fluid radiator, and a fluid piping system connecting the pump, the cold plate, and the fluid radiator.

  • Patent number: 11862887
Abstract: A socket used to connect a processor assembly to a PCB is protected during handling and/or processor installation using a laterally removable pin cover. To install the processor assembly, the processor assembly is paced in a cover removal position. While the processor assembly is in the cover removal position, the laterally removable pin cover is laterally removed from the socket. The processor assembly may then be placed into the installed position without ever exposing the connector pins on the socket.

  • Publication number: 20220327249
Abstract: A computing device includes an intrusion switch and a battery-backed volatile memory. The battery-backed volatile memory is configured to indicate a physical intrusion when the physical intrusion is detected by the intrusion switch. The triggering of the intrusion switch interrupts a power supply to the battery-backed volatile memory. A method of detecting hardware intrusion in a computing device is also described.
