Patent number: 10983099Abstract: A method for quantitative detection of trace polylactic acid microplastics (PLA MPs) in an environmental sample is disclosed, where the PLA MP in the environmental sample is depolymerized in an alkaline alcohol phase system, and the monomers thereof, i.e., lactic acid molecules were separated and recovered. Mass concentrations of lactic acid before and after reaction are quantitatively detected by HPLC-MS, and the initial mass concentration of PLA MPs in the sample is calculated using a formula. The minimum detectable concentration may be as low as 0.05 mg/kg. This method can quantify the trace PLA in water body, sludge, sediment, dust, and soil samples; no special treatment is required before heating in pentanol; use of such reaction conditions as heating and alkaline alcohol phase reduces reaction time substantially.Type: GrantFiled: May 4, 2020Date of Patent: April 20, 2021Assignee: Nankai UniversityInventors: Lei Wang, Yali Xu, Xuejiao Tang, Chu Peng, Hongwen Sun

Publication number: 20150081547Abstract: The present invention is to provide a method for protecting online transaction safety between buyers and sellers, wherein, when a third-party server receives a good transaction information (including a first account information, a first good code and a selling price) from a first terminal device (seller), the third-party server sends the first good code to a verification unit to verify whether a good corresponding to the first good code has been used. If no, the first good code is locked. Then, the third-party server displays the good transaction information on a transaction platform and, when receiving a good purchasing message (including a second account information and the first good code) from a second terminal device (buyer) through the transaction platform, the third-party server deducts the selling price from the money corresponding to the second account information and adds the same to the money corresponding to the first account information accordingly.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 6, 2013Publication date: March 19, 2015Applicant: GASH PLUS (TAIWAN) COMPANY LIMITEDInventors: Jen-Chu PENG, Hsuan-Ying HAN

Patent number: 7623184Abstract: The invention provides a digital image stabilization apparatus for compensating a jitter occurred in the ith frame among N frames of a video sequence, where each of the N frames includes a plurality of blocks, N is a natural number larger than or equal to 3 and i is an integer index ranging from 1 to N. The apparatus includes a determining module, a comparing module and an adjusting module. The determining module is to determine a block of background region BRi-1 in the (i?1)th frame. The comparing module, coupled to the determining module, is to compare the block of BRi-1 in the (i?1)th frame with the corresponding block in the ith frame so as to determine a jitter vector. The adjusting module, coupled to the comparing module, is to adjust the ith frame in accordance with the jitter vector to compensate for the jitter occurred in the ith frame.Type: GrantFiled: December 30, 2005Date of Patent: November 24, 2009Assignees: Quanta Computer Inc., National Taiwan UniversityInventors: Yu-Chu Peng, Homer H. Publication number: 20090193152Abstract: An external device includes a controller, a connector, a function circuit, and a storage device. The storage device stores firmware and an image file. The image file includes an installation program and a driver. The external device is coupled to a host via the connector. The firmware can drive the controller to generate a virtual optical disc drive in the host and load the image file to the virtual optical disc drive so as to start the installation program. When the host does not have the driver, the installation program can install the driver in the host. When the host has the driver, the host can drive the function circuit to work.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 3, 2008Publication date: July 30, 2009Inventors: Ting-Chun Wang, Jui-Chu Peng, Kuo-Pin Chiou
