  • Patent number: 12149765
Abstract: Introduced here are systems to manage and discover a processing offloader. A first multimedia device may identify a processing offloader in a networked environment. A first multimedia device may determine that a bandwidth of a second multimedia device in the networked environment falls below a threshold bandwidth, indicating that the second multimedia device may process instructions and render multimedia information with increased latency or delay. Based on this determination, the first multimedia device may forward instructions from the second multimedia device to the processing offloader for the processing offloader to process and render multimedia information on behalf of the second multimedia device based on the received instructions. The first multimedia device may forward rendered multimedia information from the processing offloader to the second multimedia device, and the second multimedia device may output the rendered multimedia information to an output device.

  • Patent number: 12126850
Abstract: Disclosed are methods for supplementing the processing capabilities of multimedia devices in a networked environment. A method can include providing a processing offloader module to physically connect to a first multimedia device in the networked environment. The offloader can be internal and/or external to the device. The method can include identifying the offloader, identifying a second multimedia device, and determining that a bandwidth of the second device falls below a threshold bandwidth. Instructions can be forwarded from the second device to the offloader when the bandwidth of the second device exceeds the threshold bandwidth. The offloader is configured to process the instructions and render multimedia information based on the instructions.

  • Publication number: 20120250789
Abstract: A technique includes generating an angle modulated square wave signal and progressively filtering the angle modulated square wave signal in a transmitter using a plurality of low pass filters to produce a modulated sinusoidal signal to drive an antenna. The technique includes programming the transmitter to tune a corner frequency of the filtering to a frequency within a range of frequencies selectable using the programming, based on a carrier frequency associated with the modulated sinusoidal signal.

  • Patent number: 7907367
Abstract: A punched gimbal dimple with an annular coined periphery extending outward from the dimple in a head suspension and a method for producing such a dimple. The dimple and its coined periphery are fabricated from a dimple punch and a die with a raised coining surface. The coined area on the dimple periphery can be seen by optical systems as a shiny ring, which is useful for aligning a slider to the dimple. The coined periphery is also less distorted by dimple punching than a non-coined periphery.

  • Patent number: 6740527
Abstract: Cyanide-free reagents for the determination of hemoglobin and leukocytes present in a blood sample comprise an aqueous solutions of at least one quaternary ammonium salt, preferably selected from the group of alkyltrimethylammonium salts, alkyldimethylbenzylammonium salts or alkylpyridium salts consisting of tetradecyltrimethyl ammonium bromide (TTAB), dodecyltrimethyl ammonium chloride, cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide, hexadecyltrimethyl ammonium bromide and benzalkonium chlorides, and hydroxylamine salts, especially hydrochloride, sulfate and phosphates and other acid salts. The method involves mixing the reagent with a diluent-diluted blood sample, presenting it to an absorbance spectrophotometer and measuring the resulting optical density as an indicator of hemoglobin concentration. This cyanide-free reagent could be used solely for hemoglobin determinations, or, it can also be used in leukocyte counting and sizing using hematology instrumentation.

  • Patent number: 5227304
Abstract: An improved multi-purpose blood diluent for use with a gentle lysing agent and improved detergent reagent system are disclosed which are especially suitable for use in routine electronic enumeration and volumetric differentation of blood cells. The preferred imidazole stabilizer used in the diluent reagent is found to be an excellent cell stabilizing agent and buffer for maintaining cell morphology during operation. A synergistic combination of a superior antimicrobial agent, the preferred Triadine-10, used in the diluent and the detergent reagents, not only prevents bacterial or fungal growth, but also helps to stabilize cells and to obtain distinct volumetric differentiation of certain leukocyte subpopulations. The preferred Brij 35 in a balanced salt solution has proved to be an efficient and cost effective detergent to ensure accurate results and trouble-free operation of the analyzers.
