  • Patent number: 8974266
Abstract: A novelty system having an internally illuminated amorphous putty that both stretches and bounces. An illumination module is provided that contains a battery and at least one light source that produces light when powered. A volume of putty material is provided in an amount sufficient enough to completely envelop the illumination module. The putty material is translucent so that the light from the light source can be seen through the putty material when the illumination module is enveloped within the putty material. The translucent putty material is created by reacting silicon polymers with boric acid and stearic acid. The reacted polymers are mixed with calcium carbonate, a whitener, and a colorant to obtain a color tinted level of translucency. The illumination module is activated by changes in acceleration caused by impact.

  • Patent number: 8858292
Abstract: A tumbling toy assembly that spins on a flat surface and tumbles down an inclined surface. The toy assembly has a body. A fulcrum protrusion extends downwardly from the bottom of the body. The fulcrum protrusion is aligned on an imaginary spin axis. This enables the body to spin in a stable manner upon the fulcrum protrusion. Furthermore, the body defines an internal weight chamber having a first end and an opposite second end that are aligned with the imaginary spin axis. A weight is disposed within the weight chamber. The weight is free to move between the first end and the second end of the weight chamber along the imaginary spin axis. Protrusions extend outwardly from the body. The protrusions cause deviations in the direction of tumble as the tumbling toy assembly tumbles down an inclined plane.

  • Patent number: 8409709
Abstract: A hydrophobic granular play material comprised of a multitude of engineered particle structures. The particle structures have an average maximum diameter of less than three millimeters. Each particle structure has an inner core of first material that is coated with a hydrophobic composition. The inner core can be particles of natural sand, plastic, or polyfoam. The inner core is enveloped in a composition of a cured elastomeric gel. The gel is hydrophobic. However, the elastomeric gel does exhibit adhesion to itself. Consequently, the particles coated in the elastomeric gel repel water but lightly adhere to each other when compressed together. The particle structures of the play material can therefore be compressed into shapes in the same manner as natural wet sand.

  • Publication number: 20060255179
Abstract: A fluid display device and method of formation. A fluid chamber is provided that has at least one transparent section. The fluid chamber is filled with two fluids of different densities, wherein a heavy fluid fills said fluid chamber to a first level and a light fluid fills the fluid chamber from the first level to a second level. A fountain structure is provided within the fluid chamber. The fountain structure is connected to a pump. Heavy fluid from below the first level is drawn by the pump and pumped through the fountain structure to a point above the first level. As a consequence, heavy fluid is drawn by the pump and is expelled from the fountain structure into the lighter fluid.

  • Patent number: 6802819
Abstract: A novelty bar of soap containing an electro-mechanical vibrating mechanism. Within a housing is disposed an electric motor that rotates a weight from an eccentric point. Two reed switches are connected in parallel within the housing. Two alkaline batteries are also provided in the housing. The reed switches selectively power the electric motor with the batteries when at least one of the reed switches is closed. A body of soap surrounds the housing forming a bar of soap. Within the housing, one of the reed switches is disposed proximate the top of the housing. The other reed switch is disposed proximate the bottom of the housing. As such, regardless of how the bar of soap is oriented when placed down, one of the reed switches is positioned near the surface or which the bar of soap is resting.

  • Publication number: 20040110444
Abstract: A novelty device that has an elongated torical encasement of flexible material that defines a central sleeve. A volume of liquid is contained within the encasement. A least one external accessory is provided that is attached to the encasement. When the point of attachment is on the exterior of the device, the external accessory extends away from the device. However, when the point of attachment rotates within the central sleeve section, the external accessory can be hidden from view. Thus, by selectively exposing and hiding the external accessory, the appearance of the device can be selectively altered and the device can appear to transform between two distinct appearances.

  • Patent number: 6612053
Abstract: Fluid decoration including a soft transparent or semitransparent envelope body and a seat body. At least two kinds of fluids with different specific weights and colors are filled in the envelope body. An inlaid member is placed in a bottom end of the envelope body. The bottom end is then sealed. The inlaid member has an upward extending patterned article. An ejecting device is disposed in the patterned article. The ejecting device is composed of a tube body and a driving unit connected with the tube body. A top end of the tube body is formed with an ejecting opening. The periphery of the tube body near the bottom thereof is formed with through holes. When the driving unit is powered on, the heavier fluid is pumped through the through hole into the tube body and forcedly pushed upward. The heavier fluid is then upward ejected from the ejecting opening of the ejecting device. Thereafter, the heavier fluid gradually splashes down onto the bottom of the envelope body.

  • Patent number: 6533637
Abstract: A toy projectile device that is thrown at flat surfaces, such as pains of glass. The toy projectile has a volume of fill material that is encapsulated within a thin-walled shell. The fill material contains a liquid and may contain solid objects suspended within the liquid. The shell is fabricated from an elastomeric material that is highly elastic, has high tear resistance and has a tacky exterior. When the toy projectile is thrown against a hard surface, the thin-walled shell deforms on impact and stretches into a splat pattern on the impacted surface. Due to the tackiness of the shell, the shell adheres to the impacted surface in the splat pattern. After a short period of time, the elastic properties of the shell cause the shell to contract and peel way from the impacted surface.

  • Patent number: 6415534
Abstract: Fluid decorative structure including an enclosing body and a scat body. The enclosing body is made of a very soft transparent or semitransparent material and formed with an opening at bottom end. Fluids with different colors and specific weights are filled into the enclosing body. An insertion member has a patterned article and an ejecting device. The ejecting device is composed of a tube body and a piston disposed in the tube body. When a rotary disc is rotated and a first magnetic member is moved to a position right under a second magnetic member, the first magnetic member will repel the second magnetic member to make the piston periodically move upward within the tube body so as to eject the second fluid with the heavier specific weight from the spout of the tube body.

  • Publication number: 20020009947
Abstract: Squeezing deformable toy structure made of one single soft transparent or semitransparent plastic tubular body. The tubular body is turned inside out and fitted into itself to form a main body having an inner tube post and an outer tube post. A fluid is filled between the inner and outer tubes to expand the main body for a player's hand to hold and squeeze. An outer side of the main body is formed with a pattern having a desired form so as to form the squeezing deformable toy. When a player's hand holds the main body and axially shakes the main body back and forth, the fluid contained in the main body will displace toward one end of the main body. Therefore, the inner tube will deform and protrude or retract toward one end of the outer tube to create a funny feeling. The appearance of the main body cooperates with the deformed pattern for achieving an entertaining effect in addition to the squeezing effect.
