Publication number: 20260223207Abstract: A system and method are disclosed to efficiently utilize the satellite bandwidth consumed by an air to ground service application that collects data for support and analysis of an on-wing Line Replacement Unit (LRU). The method statistically analyzes the data rates for air to ground traffic and dynamically modifies established bandwidth caps to minimize the available bandwidth needed for groundside reporting. In addition, the system and method comprise a framework to forecast the health of network connectivity. This system adeptly identifies and predicts faults or events in the avionics communication system during flights. Additionally, it leverages the forecasted network performance to implement actions that enhance the overall user experience.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 20, 2026Publication date: July 30, 2026Inventors: Hind Mukhtar, Raymond Schaub, III, Chuan Jiang, Stephen Mercer, Melike Erol-Kantarci

Publication number: 20230118323Abstract: In one embodiment, one or more computing systems may determine a first set of bins that collectively cover a pre-determined numerical range with each bin covering a sub-range of the pre-determined range. The system may determine a second set of bins that collectively cover the pre-determined range with each covers a different but overlapping sub-range with respect to a corresponding bin in the first bin set. The system may access a value that falls within the pre-determined range. The system may determine that the value falls within a first bin of the first bin set and a second bin of the second bin set. The system may determine a positive value for each the first and second bins. The positive values indicate an association level of the value with the first and second bins. The system may determine a representation of the value based on the positive values.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 19, 2022Publication date: April 20, 2023Inventors: Hagay Lupesko, Chuan Jiang, Andrey Malevich, Oren Sar Shalom

Patent number: 11501048Abstract: A machine learning model predicts the hardness of unsolved properties. For example, the machine learning model may predict the relative hardness of pairs of properties—i.e., which property in the pair is harder to solve. These hardness predictions may then be used to formulate a priority order for a formal verification process to attempt to solve the unsolved properties. As the formal verification process progresses, it generates results. For example, certain properties may be solved. These results are used to update a training set, which is used to further train the machine learning model. The machine learning model is trained at runtime with incremental fine-tuning as the formal verification process progresses.Type: GrantFiled: July 12, 2018Date of Patent: November 15, 2022Assignee: Synopsys, Inc.Inventors: Arunava Saha, Chuan Jiang, Manish Pandey

Patent number: 11461465Abstract: A method protects a daemon in an operating system of a host computer. The operating system detects that there is an access of a plist file of a daemon by a process in the computer. If so, then it executes a callback function registered for the plist file. The callback function sends to a kernel extension a notification of the attempted access. The kernel extension returns a value to the operating system indicating that the access should be denied. The operating system denies access to the plist file of the daemon by the process. The extension may also notify an application which prompts the user for instruction. The kernel extension also protects itself by executing its exit function when a command is given to unload the extension, and the exit function determines whether or not the command is invoked by an authorized application, such as by checking a flag.Type: GrantFiled: March 19, 2021Date of Patent: October 4, 2022Assignee: TREND MICRO INC.Inventors: Chuan Jiang, Xilin Li, Yafei Zhang

Patent number: 10354081Abstract: Interprocess communication between processes that run on a host operating system of a computer is performed by way of a protected temporary file. File access operation on the temporary file is hooked to detect writing to the temporary file. When a process writes a message to the temporary file, a verification is performed to determine whether or not the process is authorized to access the temporary file. When the process is authorized to access the temporary file, the process is allowed to write the message to the temporary file. This allows another process that is intended to receive the message to read the message from the temporary file and act on the message. Otherwise, when the process is not authorized to access the temporary file, the process is blocked from writing the message to the temporary file.Type: GrantFiled: January 5, 2017Date of Patent: July 16, 2019Assignee: TREND MICRO INCORPORATEDInventors: Chuan Jiang, Weichao Dai, Zhifeng Du, Yuncao Tian, Sen Jiang
