  • Publication number: 20050151559
Abstract: A battery ground fault detecting circuit applied to an uninterruptible power system is disclosed. The uninterruptible power system has a controller and is connected to a battery box having a ground terminal. The battery ground fault detecting circuit is employed for detecting whether a ground fault is occurred in a battery mounted in the battery box, so that the controller can execute a corresponding protection procedure.

  • Patent number: 6334743
Abstract: The present invention relates to a high-speed rotary machine having a main body, a driving device, a locking device, an illuminating device, two tool accommodation members and a number of tools. The driving device contains a through insertion hole which is aligned with two holes at the left and right body portions of the main body for the crank to insert into either side according to the user's habit or the convenience of the work. The main body includes at the top of the inner side of the holding part thereof a press button used for blocking the locking device in order to increase the torsion value of the applied force.

  • Patent number: 6047801
Abstract: An improved ratchet screwdrivers utilizes a curved spring to encircle two engaging gear blocks at the ratchet gear portion of the transmission shaft, and then a rotating coupling is used to shift the position of the slide in order to designate the operating direction of the transmission shaft. It indicates that when a certain side of the engaging gear block needs to be activated for locking purpose, it needs to disengage the engaging gear block from the ratchet gear part so that its engaging function is disabled. As a result, because one side of the coiled spring is compressed by the external force, the other will be further compressed to the engaging gear block that has not shifted due to its retaining force, thus a more powerful driving force is generated.

  • Patent number: 5965464
Abstract: A method for forming a double spacer structure comprising the steps of first providing a semiconductor substrate that has a first gate and a second gate already formed thereon, wherein the gate length of the second gate is greater than the gate length of the first gate. Then, a first insulating layer is formed over the substrate and the gates. Next, a photoresist layer is formed over the first insulating layer above the second gate while exposing the first insulating layer above the first gate. Subsequently, a first etching operation is performed to establish a first spacer structure along the sidewalls of the first gate, and then the photoresist layer is removed leaving the first insulating layer over the second gate. Thereafter, a second insulating layer is formed over the substrate, the first gate and the first insulating layer, and then a second etching operation is performed to establish a second spacer structure along the sidewalls of the second gate.

  • Patent number: 5893305
Abstract: An improved pistol gripped semi-automatic manually operated screwdriver is provided which provides advantages over conventional semi-automatic pistol gripped screwdrivers. The prior art screwdrivers are generally in the form of a pistol having a handle and a trigger. The trigger is squeezed to activate a sliding rotation actuator mounted on a helically grooved shaft. Pulling the trigger causes the actuator to move along the shaft thereby creating rotation of the shaft as well as a collet or chuck which holds the screwdriver bit. Such prior art devices also include a coiled spring which is adapted to provide a recoil mechanism for the actuator. In the improved device of this invention the screwdriver further includes a ball bearing located in a cup attached to the top of the actuator and a slide slot located within the housing for rolling engagement with a portion of the ball bearing which protrudes into the slot.

  • Patent number: 5269550
Abstract: A bicycle of the "mountain bike" type having two aligned foldable joints in the frame, a folding handlebar assembly and a foldable pedal. Each of the frame joints is mounted in a gap in a tubular frame member and includes two disks disposed flushly against the ends of the tubular members with smaller plugs fast in the members, and two hinge leaves extending across the gap longitudinally of the frame. A rivet on one side of the joint joins two ears on the leaves to form the hinge axis, and a headed fastener with a hexagonal socket is recessed into the thickened central portion of the upper leaf and threaded into the lower leaf to clamp the leaves together. Interlocking ribs between two ears on the other side of the joint prevent relative pivoting movement when the leaves are clamped together. The handlebar assembly has upper and lower tubular adjustment sections for both upward and forward adjustment of the handlebar, and an angled hinge between these sections.
