  • Patent number: 9319259
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for mapping data and de-mapping data are provided. In the method, each modulated datum is mapped into two centrosymmetric Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) subcarriers at the transmitting end, a certain functional transformation is performed on data in one of the two OFDM subcarriers, and original data may be restored at the receiving end according to data of the two centrosymmetric OFDM subcarriers. Exemplary embodiments of the invention also provide a transmitting device and a receiving device. By adopting embodiments of the invention, self-cancellation of interference among subcarriers may be implemented effectively, and the interference among subcarriers may be reduced.

  • Patent number: 8682354
Abstract: A method by a Mobile Terminal (MT) for positioning the MT is provided. The method includes requesting a Base Station (BS) to allocate a first transmission time for transmitting a first sounding signal for the MT, receiving the first transmission time from the BS, transmitting the first sounding signal to the BS at the first transmission time, requesting the BS to allocate a second transmission time of a second sounding signal for the MT after the MT moves, receiving the second transmission time from the BS, transmitting the second sounding signal to the BS at the second transmission time, reporting a moving distance moved during the period between the first transmission time and the second transmission time, and receiving a position of the MT determined based on the first sounding signal, the second sounding signal, and the moving distance.

  • Patent number: 8579460
Abstract: A LED flare and system for use to provide greater visibility in any light conditions, particularly in low light. The flare comprises an elongated housing that is generally cylindrical with a flat side. It has a handle at one end and a plurality of LEDs positioned along the outer periphery. A switch located on the elongated housing operates the flare. The flare also includes a re-chargeable battery encased in the housing for powering the flare and a circuit for delivering power and operational control from the battery to the LEDs upon activation by the switch. A set of contacts positioned on the outside of the housing deliver a charge to the battery. The flare includes an attachment device for holding an external charger in place against the contacts during charging operation. An individual flare may be part of a system that also includes other flares and a carrying case with an integrated charger, one or more flare stands and charger accessories.

  • Publication number: 20100290372
Abstract: The method for multiple TDD systems coexistence comprising steps of: a newly deployed system calculating a relative time offset ?t for a corresponding frame; the newly deployed system transmitting uplink and downlink signals based on a time reference information obtained by a summation of the relative time offset ?t and a time reference of an existing system. With the method proposed in present invention, uplink and downlink interference from adjacent frequency bands and from adjacent carriers in the same frequency band can be greatly reduced and a transmission time utility can be guaranteed for a newly deployed system.
