  • Patent number: 12034168
Abstract: The present invention relates to a composite of a cobalt-based perovskite material with a negative thermal expansion material, and a preparation method of the same, and a solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) comprising the same, and belongs to the technical field of fuel cells. In the present invention, a negative thermal expansion material is introduced into a cobalt-based perovskite oxide to successfully prepare an SOFC cathode material with excellent electrochemical performance and low thermal expansivity. The composite electrode achieves prominent mechanical tolerance in SOFC, which can moderate a volume change during the whole calcination process and enable a smooth transition to a high-temperature stage. The composite electrode has a thermal expansion coefficient (TEC) only of 12.9×10?6 K?1, which is perfectly matched with that of an SDC electrolyte. In addition, the composite shows excellent oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) activity, high TEC, and extremely-excellent anti-CO2 poisoning performance.

  • Publication number: 20230227995
Abstract: A method for growing long-seed DKDP crystal by two-dimensional motion grows the crystal along the cylindrical surface, and there is no cylinder-cone interface with low optical quality, while avoiding three flow regions which are inevitable in the crystal growth process by rotating crystal method, including incident flow, side flow and wake flow, and easily cause inclusion formation. The long seed crystal moves periodically in the fresh solution, four cylindrical surfaces can achieve reversible shear flow in one cycle, and any point on the cylindrical surface experiences the same hydrodynamic conditions in one movement cycle, so that the solute supply is sufficient and uniform, the growth velocity is improved, and the stability of morphology is ensured. The method facilitates rapid growth of high quality DKDP crystals and provides a better solution for the large-size, high-quality DKDP crystal growth required by the ICF laser device.

  • Publication number: 20090252395
Abstract: A computer assisted method of detecting and classifying lung nodules within a set of CT images to identify the regions of the CT images in which to search for potential lung nodules. The lungs are processed to identify a subregion of a lung on a CT image. The computer defines a nodule centroid for a nodule class of pixels and a background centroid for a background class of pixels within the subregion in the CT image; and determines a nodule distance between a pixel and the nodule centroid and a background distance between the pixel and the background centroid. Thereafter, the computer assigns the pixel to the nodule class or to the background class based on the first and second distances; stores the identification in a memory; and analyzes the nodule class to determine the likelihood of each pixel cluster being a true nodule.

  • Publication number: 20050207630
Abstract: A computer assisted method of detecting and classifying lung nodules within a set of CT images includes performing body contour, airway, lung and esophagus segmentation to identify the regions of the CT images in which to search for potential lung nodules. The lungs are processed to identify the left and right sides of the lungs and each side of the lung is divided into subregions including upper, middle and lower subregions and central, intermediate and peripheral subregions. The computer analyzes each of the lung regions to detect and identify a three-dimensional vessel tree representing the blood vessels at or near the mediastinum. The computer then detects objects that are attached to the lung wall or to the vessel tree to assure that these objects are not eliminated from consideration as potential nodules.

  • Publication number: 20030133595
Abstract: A segmentation system is disclosed that allows a segmented image of a vehicle occupant to be identified within an overall image (the “ambient image”) of the area that includes the image of the occupant. The segmented image from a past sensor measurement within can help determine a region of interest within the most recently captured ambient image. To further reduce processing time, the system can be configured to assume that the bottom of segmented image does not move. Differences between the various ambient images captured by the sensor can be used to identify movement by the occupant, and thus the boundary of the segmented image. A template image is then fitted to the boundary of the segmented image for an entire range of predetermined angles. The validity of each fit within the range of angles can be evaluated. The template image can also be modified for future ambient images.
