    Abstract: The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for inhibiting influenza virus infection and reproduction, comprising a effective amount of C-phycocyanin (C-PC), allophycocyanin (APC), spirulina growth factor (SGF) or the mixture thereof. The present invention also provides a method for extracting said pharmaceutical composition, comprising the steps of: (a) adding hypotonic buffer solution to organic blue-green algae powder and mixing thoroughly; (b) incubating the mixture below room temperature overnight; (c) separating and purifying the mixture by a centrifuge; (d) collecting the suspending supernatant and detecting it by a spectrometer to determine ingredients and content; and (e) spray drying the supernatant; characterized in which low-temperature extraction is employed to maintain the bioactivity and nutrients of the pharmaceutical composition.
