Abstract: A gesture guide system and a method for controlling a computer system by a gesture are provided. The system includes a sensor element and a computer system. The method includes steps of: communicating the sensor element with the computer system; the computer system shows at least one gesture option and the corresponding function instruction; the sensor element detecting a gesture of the user; and the computer system executes the corresponding function instruction in response to the detected gesture.

Abstract: In a method for automatic color wheel calibration in a projector, the color wheel includes three primary colors and a non-primary color. The method includes: enabling the projector to project the non-primary color, and measuring first optical physical amounts of the projected non-primary color; enabling the projector to project a combination color of the three primary colors having respective color level values, measuring second optical physical amounts of the projected combination color, and adjusting the respective color level values of the three primary colors according to respective values of differences between the first optical physical amounts and the second optical physical amounts; and repeating the above steps until each of the values of differences approximates zero, thereby obtaining color level values for the three primary colors to produce a combination color matching the non-primary color.

Abstract: An automatic color adjustment method and an automatic color adjustment device used for an image output device are disclosed. The method comprises the following steps: obtaining an accumulated usage time of the image output device; obtaining the color intensity decline value corresponding to the accumulated usage time; and adjusting the color intensity of the image output device according to the color intensity decline value.

Abstract: A method for generating a cursor extension on a screen of an electronic device includes the steps of detecting presence of at least one touched spot on a touchpad of the electronic device, and deciding whether to generate the cursor extension based on an attribute of the at least one detected touched spot. A cursor-generating device that performs the method is also disclosed.

Abstract: An input apparatus with a multi-mode switching function is disclosed. In one embodiment, the input apparatus includes a body, an arc surface touching module and a control module. The arc surface touching module is arranged on surface of the body, and is used to input two-dimensional position data. The control module switches the input mode of said input apparatus based on the two-dimensional position data, and generates a control signal based on switched input mode and the two-dimensional position data. In another embodiment, upon transforming the two-dimensional position data into the three-dimensional position data based on the geometric characteristics of the body, the control module of the input apparatus switches the input mode of the apparatus based on the three-dimensional position data and generates a control signal in accordance with the three-dimensional position data.
