Abstract: A device for updating component of application software in a digital broadcasting signal receiver and a method thereof. A storage section stores executing data for executing application software that produces a user interface of the digital signal receiver. A program specific information/service information extracting section extracts program specific information/service information (PSI/SI) from a received digital broadcasting signal. An updating data extracting section extracts updating information for partially updating the application software from the program specific information/service information, and extracts updating data for updating the application software from the digital broadcasting signal according to the updating information in order to update the executing data stored in the storage section to the extracted updating data. An application software section updates and executes the application software according the updated executing data.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for downloading software from a digital broadcasting system to a broadcasting signal receiving device are provided. A broadcasting signal is transmitted by a broadcasting base station that includes software update data and medium information to access another provision medium that provides the software update data. The broadcasting signal is received by the broadcasting signal receiving device and updateable software and the medium information are extracted if the updateable software exists in the broadcasting signal. The extracted medium information is stored and a download of the extracted software is started. The download of the extracted software is monitored and re-downloading the software may be performed if the download is abnormal. Thus, downloading of the software may be performed through other reception paths if an operation of downloading the software through a broadcasting signal is not normally performed.

The method includes the steps of reading light source picture information from a memory part and displaying the light source picture on a display part, reading position information of the circumference of the glare when a patient suffering from the phenomena of glare draws circumference line of the glare by means of a pointing device and calculating area of circumference of glare and outputting the calculated area. The output of the area indicates the condition of illness and the degree of remedy of the patient.

Abstract: This invention provides neophyte or experienced nail technicians and nail artists a variety of sizes and shapes simulated fingernails for practice in nail enhancements and hand-painted nail art or airbrushing nail art. The device simulates the human finger in size, shape and weight, and may be reused after the enhancements are removed. In addition, the device will be used to display a variety of nail enhancements, colors of nail polishes, and nail art designs for review by prospective customers of such nail enhancements.
