The method may be performed by a first device and includes obtaining a plurality of profile image cards of a first user of the first device; matching at least one profile image card of the first user from among the plurality of profile image cards with a second user of a second device; extracting link information about the at least one matched profile image card; and requesting to communicate with the second device and transmitting the link information about the at least one matched profile image card to the second device.

Abstract: A method of sharing profile image cards of a user of a device is provided. The method may be performed by a server and includes obtaining profile image cards indicating profiles of a first user of a first device related to a field of interest of the first user, categorizing the profile image cards based on pre-set categories, obtaining evaluation information of a second user of a second device regarding the profile image cards, determining rankings of the profile image cards for each of the categories based on the evaluation information, and recommending the profile image cards to at least one other device based on the rankings of the profile image cards.

Abstract: A method of displaying an image by using an image included in a content, and an electronic device using the same are provided. The method includes acquiring an image included in a content, dividing the acquired image into a plurality of regions, acquiring color information related to the plurality of divided regions, and generating a color palette based on the acquired color information. The electronic device provides an image acquirer that is configured to acquire an image included in content; a regions setter configured to divide into a plurality of regions the image acquired by the image acquirer; a color extractor configured to extract color information related to the plurality of divided regions; and a color palette generator configured to generate a color palette based on the color information acquired by the color extractor, wherein the color palette is used to determine a color of the image displayed on the electronic device.

Abstract: A method for providing a UI and a portable apparatus applying the same are provided. The method for providing the UI of the portable apparatus includes determining whether motion of shaking the portable apparatus a predetermined number of times is input or not using a sensor included in the portable apparatus, and, if the motion of shaking the portable apparatus the predetermined number of times is input, providing haptic feedback according to a number of pieces of information displayed on a notice window of the portable apparatus. Accordingly, if a predetermined event occurs, haptic feedback corresponding to the predetermined event is provided, so that the user can identify the event without seeing a display.
