    Abstract: Provided is an apparatus and a method for recording broadcasting data. When a stream to be recorded among received broadcasting data streams corresponds to a scrambled stream, a descrambler is allocated to the scrambled stream. The scrambled stream to which the descrambler is allocated is descrambled, split into blocks having a predetermined size and stored. A scrambled stream to which the descrambler is not allocated is split into blocks having a predetermined size and stored.
