    Abstract: A semiconductor light-emitting device includes a first conductive semiconductor layer on a substrate, a superlattice layer including a plurality of first quantum barrier layers and a plurality of first quantum well layers, the plurality of first quantum barrier layers and the plurality of first quantum well layers being alternately stacked on the first conductive semiconductor layer, an active layer on the superlattice layer, and a second conductive semiconductor layer on the active layer, wherein a Si doping concentration of at least one of the plurality of first quantum well layers is equal to or greater than 1.0×1016/cm3 and less than or equal to 1.0×1018/cm3.     Abstract: A tuner circuit and a method of designing a tuner circuit for removing a buffer circuit for video drive for increasing drive current capacitance added to an output terminal is provided, unlike a buffer for small-current drive installed in a tuner circuit. The method of designing a tuner circuit has a buffer installed in an integrated circuit (IC) of small-current drive in a video output terminal, and includes an RF converting portion, a tuning portion and a demodulation portion, in which a video output signal of the buffer in IC is input to an input circuit for processing a signal without an external buffer for drive, and the amount of attenuation of a signal at high frequency due to small drive current is measured to improve a frequency characteristic of a video signal in the tuner circuit in proportion to the amount of attenuation. Thus, an additional buffer for drive is not required, so that the number of devices is reduced, to thereby lower the material costs.

The present inventors revealed the role of BLT2 as a survival factor of human cancers, such as bladder, prostate, pancreatic, and breast cancer and found that the BLT2 inhibitors can be used as anti-cancer drugs. The present inventors revealed that BLT2 has an important role in metastasis of cancer cells and angiogenesis of tumor and demonstrated that the anti-cancer activity of the BLT2 inhibitors is accomplished by inducing the apoptosis of cancer cells, inhibiting the metastasis of cancer cells, or inhibiting the angiogenesis of tumor.

A number of the pins is reduced as compared with a conventional tuner block by supplying an electrical power to the modulator and the tuner through a common pin, dispensing with pins carrying unnecessary signals and pins which carry no signal and rearranging other pins. Potential for noise and interference between signals is reduced by maximizing displacements of connector pins which carry signals which are likely to interact. A switching arrangement provides for utilizing either a conventional tuner block or a tuner block according to the present invention on a circuit board.

    Abstract: In a method for designing an envelope detecting circuit for a video signal processing integrated circuit (IC), the number of peripheral components of the video signal processing IC is minimized by incorporating, into the video signal processing IC, a circuit device for detecting the envelope of an FM video signal and for controlling the envelope level. According to the IC designing method, the number of components can be reduced by designing all circuit elements constituting a circuit which detects the envelope of the FM video signal and which controls envelope level so that they are incorporated into the video signal processing IC at the time of designing the video signal processing IC. As a result, cost is reduced and, since mode control signal lines are reduced, the corresponding terminals of the microprocessor can be used for another purpose, thereby increasing the operating efficiency of the microprocessor.
