    Abstract: A method for manufacturing a dried burdock seed extract in order to manufacture the dried burdock seed extract rich in arcitigenin is disclosed. The method includes: sequentially mixing a raw material, water and an extractant to obtain a mixture. The mixture includes 7-14 vol % of the raw material, 8-40 vol % of water and 50-84 vol % of the extractant being a 95% aqueous ethanol solution. The raw material is then extracted at a boiling condition for 20-180 minutes, followed by concentration and centrifugation to obtain the dried burdock seed extract. A method for purifying the dried burdock seed extract is also disclosed.
