  • Publication number: 20120180014
Abstract: A computer-implemented method to perform context-sensitive incremental design rule checking (DRC) for an integrated circuit (IC). An incremental DRC engine checks design rule violations between a set of environment shapes and a set of active shapes. If no design rule violations are found, the set of active shapes will be added into the set of environment shapes. Furthermore, the incremental DRC engine can be embedded into placement tools, routing tools, or interactive layout editing tools to check design rule violations and help generate DRC error free layouts.

  • Patent number: 8072755
Abstract: An active heat-dissipating mechanism includes a fan module, an airflow-guiding part and an airflow shunt part. The fan module includes an airflow inlet and an airflow outlet. The airflow-guiding part is disposed at the same side of the airflow outlet of the fan module and in communication with the fan module. An airflow channel is defined by the airflow-guiding part. An airflow inhaled by the fan module is guided to a hotspot region of the electronic device through the airflow channel so as to remove the heat generated from the hotspot region. The airflow shunt part is formed on the airflow-guiding part. The airflow shunt part defines a stopping block in the airflow channel. A portion of the airflow is hindered by the stopping block and guided into a sub-hotspot region of the electronic device so as to remove the heat generated from the sub-hotspot region.

  • Patent number: 7957459
Abstract: A symbol rate testing method based on signal waveform analysis is provided. A signal with a plurality of quasi bits 1 and a plurality of quasi bits 0 is received and sampled within an acquiring time. Maximum values of the quasi bits 1 are obtained by calculating sampling values of the signal at various sampling points. A minimum value among the maximum values is determined as a critical value. Whether a quasi bit 1 is a bit 1 or not is determined according to the critical value, and a total number of the bits 1 within the acquiring time is counted. Similarly, a number of the bits 0 within the acquiring time are also obtained. Thus, the symbol rate is obtained according to the above information.

  • Publication number: 20110029814
Abstract: A test system and a test method thereof. The test system includes an electronic device and a test device. The electronic device includes a plurality of output interfaces and provides a corresponding test signal via the output interfaces according to a group of operation commands. The test device includes a transforming unit, a multiplexer unit, a processor unit and a plurality of test interfaces which are respectively coupled to the output interfaces. The transforming unit transforms the test signals received via the test interfaces. The multiplexer unit selects the transformed test signals. The processor unit controls the multiplexer unit to select one of the transformed test signals, and determines whether the transformed test signal being selected conforms a predetermine condition for generating a test result signal. The processor unit controls the communication unit to transmit the test result signal to the electronic device according to the test result signal.
