    Abstract: A matte polyester film and a method for manufacturing the same are provided, The method for manufacturing the matte polyester film includes: providing a recycled polyester material; physically regenerating a part of the recycled polyester material to form physically regenerated polyester chips having a first intrinsic viscosity; chemically regenerating another part of the recycled polyester material to form chemically regenerated polyester chips having a second intrinsic viscosity less than the first intrinsic viscosity; mixing matte regenerated polyester chips, the physically regenerated polyester chips, and the chemically regenerated polyester chips according to a predetermined intrinsic viscosity so as to form a polyester masterbatch material; melting and then extruding the polyester masterbatch material to obtain the matte polyester film having the predetermined intrinsic viscosity.

    Abstract: A biaxially oriented polyester film having the following physical property is provided: when cooled from the molten state at a cooling rate of 20° C/min, an observed recrystallization temperature is 175° C-200° C. The biaxially oriented polyester film is formed by a thick sheet before bidirectional stretching that is melted and extruded by an extruder and then cooled and formed on a casting roll. The thick sheet before stretching having the following physical property as analyzed by differential scanning calorimetry: a crystallization rate is less than 10%.

    Abstract: A method for retrieving original intact characteristics of images heavily polluted by Gaussian impulse noises is based on the fuzzy automata theory retrieves the characteristics of images heavily corrupted by Gaussian impulse noises. The retrieved characteristics are represented with fuzzy sets, each of which is also called a fuzzy partition of the image histogram. The membership functions are used for noise filtering, multi-level thresholding, segmentation, and edge detection. This invention further utilizes the result images of filtering and thresholding to perform the second phase processing. After two-phase filtering, the signal-to-noise ratio SNR and the peak signal to noise ratio PSNR are increased up to 10 db for images polluted by noises higher than 50%. Having very low complexity of processing time and memory space, the kernel operation of the algorithm can be implemented with super-scalar super-pipelined 16-bit floating-point processing unit and achieve 24-bit true color results.
