    Abstract: The present disclosure provides an electrical connection apparatus which includes a receptacle and a plug. The receptacle includes a cage, a heat sink, a thermal interface material layer, and an elastic sheathing member. The heat sink is provided to the cage and has a base portion. The base portion has a lower surface, a first side edge close to the port, and a second side edge spaced apart from the first side edge. The heat sink further has two first convex portions positioned on the lower surface and adjacent to the first side edge and a first concave portion positioned on the lower surface and adjacent to the second side edge. The thermal interface material layer is provided to the lower surface of the base portion. The elastic sheathing member sheathes the heat sink and the cage. The plug includes a second convex portion positioned on an upper surface.

The receptacle connector is received in a rear segment of the receiving space of the shielding cage. The light guiding member has at least two light guiding pipes, each light guiding pipe has a first segment positioned to the front and a second segment positioned to the rear. The first segments of the two light guiding pipes are positioned outside the shielding cage and the second segments of the two light guiding pipes pass through the aperture and enter into the rear segment of the receiving space of the shielding cage.

    Abstract: A connector assembly is disclosed to include a shielding cage and a receptacle connector. The shielding cage forms at least one insertion space and a front end port communicatively coupled to the insertion space, the insertion space is defined by a top wall, a bottom wall and two side walls which cooperate with each other. The receptacle connector is provided to a rear segment of the shielding cage and includes a receptacle housing. The shielding cage further includes at least one stopping piece and at least one support stopping block which extend into the insertion space, the support stopping block is interposed between the stopping piece and the receptacle housing and supports the stopping piece. In another manner, the shielding cage may include a withdrawing stop portion and a rear stopping piece, the withdrawing stop portion is used to limit the receptacle housing to displace rearwardly, the rear stopping piece is used to stop the receptacle housing from behind the receptacle housing.

    Abstract: A connector assembly comprising a shielding shell, a heat dissipating module and a clip. The shielding shell comprises a top wall and two side walls. The heat dissipating module comprises a thermal conducting plate which is provided to a top wall of the shielding shell. Side edges of the thermal conducting plate comprise rearward stopped portions toward the rear. The clip comprises an elastic pressing portion which presses against a top surface of the thermal conducting plate and outer side plates which are assembled to the corresponding side walls of the shielding shell. The outer side plate comprises a rearward displace limiting portion. The rearward displace limiting portion cooperates with the corresponding rearward stopped portion of the thermal conducting plate so as to limit relative displacement of the thermal conducting plate relative to the shielding shell toward the rear. Therefore, it may prevent the thermal conducting plate from disengaging.

    Abstract: An electrical connector assembly for mounting on a circuit board includes a pressing frame, a base, and a pressing pole. The base and the pressing frame may be mounted on two opposite surfaces the circuit board so that a pivoting portion and protruding pieces of the base respectively pass through the circuit board. The pressing frame is mounted on the pivoting portion. The pressing pole mounts to the protruding pieces and can be translated so as to urge the pressing frame toward a closed position. A receptacle connector may be mounted between the pivoting portion and the protruding pieces and secured by the pressing frame. A radiator may be mounted over on the receptacle connector. A plurality of fastener may extend between the radiator and the base so as to secure the radiator in position.

The insulating housing has a plurality of terminal passageways, and each of the terminals has a clipping device, a stopping portion, a first flexible arm, a second flexible arm, and a contacting portion. Each clipping device of the terminals is separately held firmly in the containing trough, and the clipping device further comprises a first clipping portion and a second clipping portion. A containing space is formed between the first clipping portion and the second clipping portion, and a solder ball is clipped relatively in the containing space without reflowing the solder ball to the terminal. A top end of the first flexible arm and a top end of the second flexible arm are connected separately with to the contacting portion so that a top end of the terminal is of closed shape and the terminal will not be hooked by external objects.

The pressing frame is pivotally connected to the base and has a flange on one side thereof. The pressing rod is pivotally arranged on the base and has a protrusion. The socket connector is arranged between the base and the pressing frame and a CPU is mounted on the socket connector. The pressing rod is operated such that the protrusion is pressed against the flange. The pressing frame is pressed against the CPU, whereby the CPU is also retained on the socket connector.
