    Abstract: The universal wheel includes a base member, a vertical axle, a lift member, and a wheel member. The lift member adjusts the universal wheel's height. A first driving element, a second driving element, and an engaging element are configured on the base member and the wheel member. The first driving element for turning the base member laterally within 360 degrees. The second driving element is for rolling the wheel member around its lateral axle. The engaging element couples or decouples an external shaft with the lateral axle of the wheel member. As such, through the first and second driving elements, and the engaging element, the universal wheel can control a height from the ground and can be rolled forward, laterally, obliquely, turned 360 degrees when standing in place, or in a combination of these operations.

Besides, the device is designed to be applied to most motors; therefore, users can manage the efficiency of all motors of the factory without the need to stop the machines or the manufacturing process.

    Abstract: A method adapted to diagnose airway obstruction in a subject is disclosed. The method comprises the following steps: providing plural cross-sectional ultrasound images of a region of the respiratory tract during the subject's normal breathing, wherein each ultrasound image has plural pixels and each pixel has a color scale value; selecting a region of interest in each ultrasound image; calculating a respective first statistic value. The pixels in each of the region of interest are identified to define a respective airspace region by the color scale values larger than or equal to the respective first statistic value. A respective width of the respiratory tract is calculated and based on the distribution of the pixels in the respective airspace region. The status about an airway obstruction in the subject is classified according to the second statistic value obtained by the calculation of the widths of the respiratory tract.

    Abstract: A speech remote control device includes a speech input unit, a speech identification unit, a motion setting unit, a transmit unit and a receiving unit. The speech input unit converts a received speech command into a speech signal. The speech identification unit receives the speech signal, and transmits an encoded message. The motion setting unit receives and decodes the encoded message to generate a combination message with a proceeding control command and a turning control command, or comprising a series of sub-combination messages. The transmitting unit receives and transmits the combination message to the receiving unit provided on the remote control car. The remote control car is driven by the receiving unit to automatically change direction or make more than one turn during proceeding. Thus, only one speech command controls the remote control car to simultaneously proceed and make a turn without sending any additional command for changing direction.
