A ratchet socket is mounted to an end of the sleeve and located away from the first positioning portion. Two end members are located on the two open ends of the sleeve and each end member has a body. The two respective bodies of the two end members are respectively engaged with the first and second installation portions. The two end members are replaceable when the axle of different sizes is replaced so as to be connected to the bicycle frame.

    Abstract: A bicycle hub assembly includes a hub with an axle extending therethrough. A socket is connected to the hub and has a base connected thereto. The base has multiple pawl recesses and each pawl recess has two receiving portions. A ratchet unit has multiple pawls, multiple resilient members and a toothed ring. The pawls each have a first protrusion and a second protrusion respectively extending from one end thereof. A restriction slot is defined in one side of the pawl. The two ends of the resilient member are respectively received in the two ends of the pawl recess. Each resilient member has a curved contact portion which contacts the restriction slot. The toothed ring is located in the hub and the pawls are engaged with the toothed ring. When the first protrusion is worn out, the second protrusion is engaged with the ratchet teeth and the hub assembly works normally.

    Abstract: A gear selector includes a sleeve member which has an annular flange that extends radially and outwardly from the periphery of one end of the sleeve member. The flange has a circumferential groove to receive a curved member which has a plurality of retaining grooves. The flange further has an annular extension with a guide rail that is formed circumferentially on an external surface, an abutting face, a receiving space, and a notch which interconnects the receiving space and the guide rail. A tubular member has a casing with a retractable projection at one end. When the sleeve member is sleeved rotatably on the tubular member, the retractable projection extends into one of the retaining grooves of the curved member so as to retain the sleeve member at a predetermined position relative to the tubular member. A cable has one end fixed in the tubular member and passes through the notch. The cable encircles the guide rail before being led out of the tubular member.
