  • Patent number: 7532594
Abstract: A Bluetooth network topology. The Bluetooth network system includes a plurality of piconets, containing a plurality of Bluetooth units, including one master unit and a plurality of slave units. These piconets are linked by the bridge units to form a scatternet ring. The scatternet ring is formed by a centralized forming mechanism, operated by a simple yet efficient routing protocol and maintained by recovery and extension mechanisms.

  • Patent number: 7197078
Abstract: A video coding/decoding buffering apparatus and a buffering method thereof are provided. The method codes/decodes a current macro block to generate a corresponding unfiltered current macro block data, and a right data area and a bottom data area of the unfiltered current macro block data are stored. The unfiltered current macro block data is filtered to generate a filtered current macro block data, and a right data area and a bottom data area of the filtered current macro block data are stored. The stored data areas are used to code/decode the associated macro blocks.

  • Publication number: 20060109909
Abstract: A decision mechanism for partition types of a macro block is provided. First, a rough motion estimation is performed on a macro block, so as to obtain a rough related information corresponding to various partition types. Then, one of the partition types is determined based on the rough related information. Afterwards, a fine related information is obtained by performing a fine motion estimation with the determined partition type on the macro block. Wherein, the increased pixel shift of the fine motion estimation is smaller than the increased pixel shift of the rough motion estimation. Accordingly, the decision mechanism for partition types of the macro block can reduce the motion estimation time and provide higher processing efficiency.

  • Publication number: 20060104355
Abstract: A method for setting the threshold of a fast motion estimation algorithm, which improves the accuracy precision of motion vectors at the edges of objects and the algorithm efficiency in the background area when used together with threshold-based fast motion estimation algorithms. The steps of the method includes determining whether a macroblock is located at the edge of a moving object; setting the threshold of the fast motion estimation algorithm to a smaller edge threshold when the macroblock is at an edge; and setting the threshold of the fast motion estimation algorithm to a larger background threshold when the macroblock is not at an edge.
