  • Publication number: 20160008272
Abstract: Copper ion treatments and methods of treatment are provided to treat various body conditions affecting the oral, respiratory and/or otic areas of the body. The copper ion treatments contain copper ions which bring about local and systemic therapeutic effects as a result of contacting anatomical tissue of the oral cavity, the nasal passages or ear canal. The copper ion treatments and methods involve copper ion-containing solutions, copper ion toothpaste and copper ion mouthwash. The copper ion-containing solutions can be delivered to the oral cavity by spraying or swabbing, can be delivered to the nostrils as spray, drops, or by swabbing, and can be delivered to the ear canal as spray, drops, or by swabbing. The copper ion toothpaste is used for brushing the teeth, and the copper ion mouthwash is used for rinsing the mouth.

Abstract: Copper ion treatments and methods of treatment are provided to treat various body conditions affecting the genital and/or rectal areas. The copper ion treatments contain a copper ion-containing solution which, as a result of the copper ions contacting anatomical tissue of the vagina, the rectal canal and/or the external genital or rectal areas, brings about local and systemic therapeutic effects. The copper ion treatments and methods for treating conditions affecting the genital and/or rectal areas involve the use of tampons, suppositories, lotions, creams, gels, foams and solutions, each containing a copper ion-containing solution. The tampon bodies and the copper ion lotions, creams, gels and foams may be delivered into the vagina, and the suppositories can be delivered into the vagina or into the rectal canal. • Publication number: 20140271798
Abstract: A topical copper ion treatment in basic form comprises a copper ion-containing solution composed of a biocompatible solution containing copper ions obtained by leaching of the copper ions from copper metal into the solution. The copper ion-containing solution can be combined with various carriers to form various forms of the copper ion treatment including creams, gels, lotions, foams, pastes, tampons, solutions, suppositories, body wipes, wound dressings, skin patches, and suture material. A method of making the copper ion-containing solution involves placing solid copper metal in a quantity of a biocompatible solution and maintaining the solution at a specified temperature for a predetermined period of time during which copper ions leach from the copper metal into the solution, and thereafter separating the solution from the solid copper metal.

  • Patent number: 8178039
Abstract: A deodorizer device for controlling body odor comprises a structure having an external metal oxide surface with a contour to contact the surface of the skin where perspiration is produced and is degraded by bacterial organisms on the skin into body odor. The metal oxide surface is reactable with water supplied to the surface of the skin to render the bacterial organisms ineffectual to degrade perspiration later produced on the skin into body odor. The deodorizer device together with a water source form a deodorizer system. A method of controlling body odor involves supplying water to the surface of the skin where perspiration is produced and is degraded by bacterial organisms into body odor and, at the same time, contacting the surface of the skin with a metal oxide surface of a deodorizer device.

  • Publication number: 20080045988
Abstract: A tongue deodorizing device comprises a tongue contacting instrument having a stainless steel tissue rubbing surface for being rubbed against the tongue and having a water supply for supplying water to a fluid transport channel of the tongue contacting instrument for discharge adjacent the tongue rubbing surface. The tongue rubbing surface in contact with the tissue of the tongue reacts with the water to deodorize the tongue via a non-mechanical reaction. The tongue contacting instrument may also comprise a tongue scraping element for mechanically scraping the tongue to reduce odor via mechanical removal of odor-causing material from the tongue.

  • Patent number: 7276056
Abstract: A method of treating abnormal biological conditions arising in and/or affecting the vagina involves supplying a flow of water to the vaginal canal while a treatment device having an external surface of stainless steel is disposed therein so as to primarily or preventatively treat an existing or potential abnormal biological condition including fungal, bacterial, viral, inflammatory and neoplastic conditions. The supply of water to the vaginal canal while the stainless steel of the treatment device is disposed therein causes a natural reaction to occur in the vaginal canal which prevents and/or normalizes abnormal biological conditions.

  • Patent number: 6589216
Abstract: A vaginal douche comprises a vaginal douche applicator for introduction in the vaginal canal and a source or supply of douching fluid connected with the vaginal douche applicator. The vaginal douche applicator comprises an applicator body, a head joined to the applicator body and an internal passage for being supplied with douching fluid. Rearward discharge holes and forward discharge holes in the head communicate with the passage and discharge douching fluid into the vaginal canal. The rearward discharge holes face proximally toward the applicator body, and the forward discharge holes face distally and outwardly from the head at an angle. Douching fluid discharged into the vaginal canal is directed proximally along a plurality of external head channels of the head toward a plurality of external body channels of the applicator body. Douching fluid is directed proximally along the body channels toward the vaginal opening for exit from the vaginal canal.

  • Patent number: 6190365
Abstract: A vaginal douche applicator includes an applicator body for positioning in the vaginal canal and comprising an elongate body portion and a tip disposed at a distal end of the body portion. The body portion has an open proximal end for being coupled with a source of a douching fluid that includes water, and the tip defines a closed distal end for the applicator body. The applicator body has a fluid passage therein communicating with the open proximal end for receiving the douching fluid from the source. A plurality of discharge holes are formed in the applicator body in communication with the fluid passage by which the douching fluid is discharged from the fluid passage into the vaginal canal. The body portion has an external surface of stainless steel for contacting vaginal tissue whereby vaginal odors are neutralized due to contact of the tissue with the stainless steel in the presence of the water of the douching fluid supplied to the vaginal canal through the applicator.
