  • Patent number: 7648216
Abstract: In a method for printing on a print media using nozzles in a printhead, it is determined as to whether one or more of the nozzles are out. In response to the one or more of the nozzles being out, the print media is micro-linefed between at least two printing passes of the printhead when the printhead is substantially in position to print onto a margin section of the print media. The micro-linefeeding includes activation of a print media feed means to advance the print media for a distance that is substantially smaller than a normal advance of the print media, to thereby reduce printing defects in the margin section caused by one or more nozzles that are out.

  • Patent number: 7532902
Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus and a method for performing a cell search in a wireless communication system. A subscriber station calculates the power of subcarriers according to their positions in a preamble signal of a frequency domain and identifies a segment of a cell to which the subscriber station belongs. Then, the subscriber station correlates PN sequences, which correspond to the segment of the cell that has been identified, with the preamble signal of the frequency domain. Therefore, the number of calculations for determining correlation values in a cell search is remarkably reduced.

  • Publication number: 20080317965
Abstract: The plasma processing apparatus for processing a semiconductor substrate using plasma and a method thereof can maintain a steady state simultaneously while maximizing a plasma electron density. The plasma processing apparatus includes: a chamber which generates plasma to process a semiconductor substrate; upper and lower electrodes arranged in the chamber; a DC power-supply unit which applies a DC voltage to either one of the upper and lower electrodes; and a controller which adjusts a power ratio of the DC voltage applied from the DC power-supply unit to either one of the upper and lower electrodes. As a result, the apparatus certainly confines electrons, so that the electrodes are not emitted from the plasma, resulting in a maximized plasma electron density.
