Abstract: A mold management system connected to a shopping floor control (SFC) system is operable to manage a plurality of molds. Each of the plurality of molds bears an exclusive barcode containing basic information of the mold. The mold management system includes a query module, a selection module, an input registration module, and a notification module. The query module queries basic information for requested molds in a database, and production information from the SFC system to obtain a scheduled usage history of the requested molds. The selection module selects a mold with usage history most exceeding the scheduled usage history to be outbound. The input registration module updates a usage history of the outbound mold when the outbound mold is to be inbound. The notification module determines whether the inbound mold is to be discarded based on the updated usage history.

The drawing selection module selects an engineering drawing. The information reading module reads product information and machining data of the engineering drawing. The data determining module determines whether the machining data accords with machining requirement. The machining type determining module determines a machining type. The file generating module generates an SOP file.

Abstract: A sheet metal processing method for generating punching codes and laser codes includes: reading an engineering drawing, and setting punching parameters; laying out workpieces, and generating punching multi-layout data; selecting and laying out corresponding punching tools for the workpieces and tooling-holes, and generating punching tool layout data; generating the punching codes according to the punching parameters, the punching tool layout data, and the punching multi-layout data, and saving the punching codes in a saving sub-system; retrieving the punching parameters, the punching tool layout data, and the punching multi-layout data of the punching codes, and automatically setting laser parameters and laser multi-layout data; and generating the laser codes according to the laser parameters and the laser multi-layout data. A sheet metal processing system for generating the punching codes and the laser codes is also provided.
