  • Publication number: 20160153638
Abstract: An optical prism sheet includes a transparent substrate having a light-entrance surface, and a plurality of elongated prisms that protrude from the transparent substrate. Each of the prisms has a scalene triangular cross-section and first and second surfaces that intersect each other to define an apex angle. The apex angle of each of the prisms is divided by a normal line of the transparent substrate into first and second sub-angles that are different from each other. At least one of the light-entrance surface and the first and second surfaces of each of the prisms is roughened to form a plurality of micro-protrusions, each of which has a height ranging from 0.1 ?m to 5 ?m.

  • Patent number: 8139700
Abstract: A system and method for closed loop clock correction includes adjusting two or more input signals comprising at least one in-phase clock and one quadrature clock, and applying adjusted quadrature clock signals to a device capable of generating a 4-quadrant interpolated output clock phase. An interpolated output clock phase is delayed to form a clock for a measurement device. Two or more adjusted input signals are measured on a measurement device over a range of interpolated output clock phases. Errors are determined on the in-phase clock and the quadrature clock using sampled information from the measurement device. The in-phase clock and the quadrature clock are adapted using determined error information.

  • Patent number: 7145950
Abstract: Pixel information of a current block is correlated with pixel information of a reference frame indicated by a first motion vector of a block proximate to the current block, pixel information of the reference frame indicated by a second motion vector of a block of the reference frame spatially coincident with the current block, and pixel information of predetermined regions of the reference frame. At least one of the first, second, and third motion vectors having the lowest cost function is selected as a candidate motion vector. Pixel information of the current block is correlated with pixel information of regions offset from the regions indicated by the candidate motion vectors to determine refined candidate motion vectors and corresponding refined cost functions. The refined candidate motion vector having the lowest refined cost function is selected as the motion vector of the current block.

  • Publication number: 20050089232
Abstract: A method provides a predetermined sequence of video frames, the predetermined sequence beginning with an I-frame, ending with a P-frame, and having intermediate B-frames. The method encodes blocks of each frame according to the order of the frame in the sequence and the frame type, determines a number of intra picture coded blocks in an encoded P-frame, and determines that a scene change occurs when the number of intra-picture encoded blocks is greater than a predetermined number. The method redefines the P-frame detected as having a scene change as an I-frame, redefines all B-frames of the sequence as P-frames, and re-encodes redefined frames while detecting for the scene change in the newly defined P-frames.
