Abstract: A method for monitoring operations of cloud server through virtual machines is used in a virtual machine monitoring system with a central monitoring system, a cloud platform, virtual exchangers, and virtual machines. The central monitoring system sends an instruction to obtain to the cloud platform. The cloud platform transmits the instruction to the virtual machine through the virtual exchanger. The virtual machine searches for operation information and sends such information to the cloud platform by the virtual exchanger. The cloud platform transmits the operation information to the central monitoring system. The central monitoring system monitors and manages the operation information. A virtual machine operation monitoring device and a virtual machine monitoring system applying the method are also provided.

Abstract: A method for improving manner of display of surveillance video to extract components or types of components for independent display from the video. The displayable components are divided into at least one subject. A repeating displayed list is created corresponding to the at least one component or type of component. The videos corresponding thereto can be displayed in turn based on the display list in response to a play instruction from user. An electronic device and a computer readable storage medium applying the method are also provided.

Abstract: A method of playing a network video using an electronic device includes acquiring a web address of the network video from a browser, and transmitting the acquired web address to the web server. When the browser does not support a Motion Joint Photographic Experts Group (MJPEG) format, a static image frame is established. The method further transmits the acquired web address to the web server and requesting a transmission of each single static image from the web server. The method further receives each single static image from the web server and generates a video file comprising a plurality of single static images by adding the received each single static image into the established static image frame. The method further displays the single static images successively in the browser to play the network video.

Abstract: In a method for playing real-images in a virtual reality using an electronic device, the method generates a request for obtaining a real-time image of a scene and notifies a Virtual Reality(VR) client to send the request to a web sever to obtain the real-time image. The real-time image is cut into a sequence of static pictures by the web server, and is sent to the VR client through a network. The method triggers the VR client to play each of the sequence of static pictures to present the real-time image on a display screen of the electronic device.

Abstract: A system and method of automatically transforming instant message transmission modes on the Internet is disclosed. The transformation system is applied to a Java-based instant messenger and could be automatically transformed to four transmission modes in accordance with different network environments. The four transmission modes include the socket mode (i.e. direct connection through socket), HTTP 1.1 mode (i.e. connection through a proxy server and a firewall that both support HTTP 1.1), HTTP 1.0 mode (i.e. connection through a proxy server and a firewall that both support HTTP 1.0) and a pure-HTML mode (i.e. without JAVA applet).

Abstract: A web-based editing system of compound documents suitable for web browsing and the method thereof are disclosed. By using the web-based editing system, different kinds of files may be uploaded to a web folder and then transformed into several HTML files and XML-based files for viewing in a web browser (for instance, Internet Explorer). The above-mentioned different kinds of files include *.ppt (PowerPoint files), *.doc (Word files), *.xls (Excel files), .mht (packaged web files) and image files (*.bmp, *.jpg, *.gif, *.png).
