Abstract: A portable computer capable of converting an internal storage device into an external storage device and, without being booted up, functioning as the external storage device is disclosed. The portable computer includes: an external interface connector; a switcher connected to an internal storage device, a south bridge chip, and an interface converter, and is configured to switch between the south bridge chip and the interface converter and thus allow one of the south bridge chip and the interface converter to be electrically conducted to the internal storage device; the interface converter connected to the switcher and an external interface controller to allow an interface of the external interface controller to be changed and thus be fit for use with the internal storage device; and the external interface controller connected to an interface switcher and the external interface connector and configured to process signals from the external interface connector.

Abstract: A computer device includes a keyboard connected electrically to a main module. The keyboard is operable between a lock mode, where the keyboard is inhibited from outputting a scan code signal, and an unlock mode, where the keyboard is enabled to output a scan code signal corresponding to a pressed one of keys of the keyboard. When one of the keys of the keyboard is pressed while the keyboard is operated in the lock mode, the keyboard provides a control signal to an input/output interface unit of the main module for controlling generation of an indication output. A method of performing keyboard lock in the computer device is also disclosed.

Abstract: A noodle forming device includes a dough mixing chamber and an extruding chamber connected to each other, a mixing shaft having mixing blades fixed thereon extending through the mixing chamber, an extruding screw disposed within the extruding chamber and connected to the mixing shaft in such a way to be rotatable about the same rotational axis in unison therewith to extrude mixed dough out of the noodle forming device through an extruding die to form the noodles. A partition plate is removably disposed between the mixing chamber and the extruding chamber to prevent the dough ingredients from entering the extruding chamber before well mixed. Once the dough is well mixed, the partition plate is removed to allow the dough to be expelled into the extruding chamber to be extruded out of the extruding die.
