  • Publication number: 20110314293
Abstract: A method of handling a server delegation for a first server in a service system supporting a device management (DM) protocol is disclosed. The method comprises receiving a delegation message with a first signature from a second server via a delegation session, wherein the second server has a control of a plurality of management objects of a client; generating a delegation request message comprising the delegation message and the first signature; and sending the delegation request message with a second signature to the client in the service system, to obtain the control of the part of the plurality of management objects of the client.

  • Publication number: 20110295947
Abstract: A communication apparatus and a method thereof are provided. The communication apparatus comprises a memory module, a communication module, and a control module. The memory module stores a MO tree. The communication module receives a device management (DM) command comprising a path of the MO tree and server timing information in a first part. The control module, coupled to the memory module and the communication module, compares client timing information of a tree node of the MO tree in the first part with the server timing information. The communication module further transmits client MO tree information in the first part to a DM server when the client timing information is different from the server timing information.

  • Publication number: 20110264763
Abstract: A method for retrieving an object from a device management (DM) client and an associated DM system are disclosed to enable a DM server to retrieve a large object from the DM client. The method comprises receiving a first message issued from the DM server by the DM client, segmenting the object into a plurality of chunks by the DM client in response to receiving the first message, and transmitting each of the chunks in a respective second message to the DM server by the DM client. The first message is used for retrieving the object. The second message including the last chunk comprises a first element to indicate that there is no more chunk to be transmitted, and the second message including any other chunk includes a second element to indicate that there is at least one more chunk to be transmitted.

  • Publication number: 20110250878
Abstract: Communication devices and methods thereof. The communication device comprises a communication module, a memory module, and a control module. The communication module receives a data object exceeding a predetermined data size from a device management server. The memory module, coupled to the communication module, comprises a management object tree having a management object leaf node, storing a first portion of the received data object in the management object leaf node, and holds the first portion in the management object leaf node when termination of the reception of the data object is being determined. The control module, coupled to the communication module and the memory module, determines termination of the reception of the data object prior to the data object being completely received, wherein the first portion comprises at least one unit data, and each unit data has a data size less than or equal to the predetermined data size.
