    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for providing computer implemented services are disclosed. To provide the computer implemented services, an identification of a startup of a data processing system may be made. Based on the identification, a determination may be made regarding whether a device is present in an expansion slot of the data processing system. If the device is present, then another determination may be made regarding whether identification information is able to be obtained from the device. If obtained, the identification information may be interpreted to obtain communication link bifurcation settings for the device. Default communication link training settings may then be updated based on the bifurcation settings to obtain updated training settings. Communication link training may then be initiated for a communication link using the updated training settings.

    Abstract: A method, a system, and a computer program product for object color correction are provided. Two images of the same target provided by two image capturing devices are introduced into an image conversion model constructed by an image conversion algorithm, and a color coefficient and a luminance coefficient for color space conversion are found, so as to convert the two images to a target color space. Then, the two images in the target color space are introduced into an image color distribution space model constructed by the image conversion algorithm, so as to obtain two different image color distribution space principal axes. The two image color distribution space principal axes are compared and adjusted to be parallel, thereby adjusting a color difference between the two images. The two images that are adjusted are converted back to an original color space, so as to obtain the two corrected images.

Also, described are methods and systems for image normalization wherein the standard deviation and average for the gray levels of the pixels are determined and then used to normalize the image so that the gray level for each of the pixels falls between a particular range.

    Abstract: A system and a method for rapidly tracking multiple faces uses a face-like region generator to find a face-like region by skin color, motion, and silhouette information. A face tracking engine tracks faces based on new and old faces, and skin colors provided by the face-like regions. The tracked face is fed into a face status checker for determining whether the face-like regions are old faces tracked in a previous frame or are possible new faces. If the face-like regions are old faces, a face verification engine checks whether there exists a predefined percentage of overlapping area between an old face and a skin region. If yes, the old face is still in the current frame and its position is in the center of the skin region, otherwise, the position of the old face is found by a correlation operation.

A set of possible matched solutions from the edge position coordinates of the first and second edge are generated. An optimum matched offset from the set of possible matched solutions is determined. Because the set of possible matched solutions is small and compact, the optimum matched offset can be determined efficiently from the set of solutions.
