Abstract: The present invention provides a multi-steps depositing process. The process provides a substrate having at least a shallow trench, and then performs a first high density plasma chemical vapor deposition (HDP CVD) to form a first dielectric layer on the substrate and a surface of the shallow trench. A partial etching process is performed to etch the first dielectric layer, and a passivation process is performed. Finally, a second HDP CVD is performed to form a second dielectric layer on the first dielectric layer and fill the shallow trench.

Abstract: A method for processing multi-layered image data by utilizing a modified alpha blending algorithm. The method includes detecting whether mask values of image data are within a predetermined range and generating new image data according to the image data and the mask values. An image processing device capable of adding shaded diagrams or frames to a camera preview picture and presenting display selections, diagrams, special effects, or backgrounds simultaneously on a limited display screen of a handheld electronic device.

Abstract: A mobile communication device includes a memory for storing a first frame image corresponding to a first menu and a second frame image corresponding to a second menu, a display unit coupled to the memory for displaying frame images, and a control unit coupled to the display unit for controlling the display unit to display, in sequence, the first frame image, at least one corresponding transitive image generated according to the first frame image or the second frame image, and finally, the second frame image when the control unit receives a command for transferring the first menu to the second menu.

Abstract: A method of digital engraving. First, a source image is obtained. Next, brightness and contrast of the source image are adjusted. At least one layer corresponding to the source image is then generated according to an engraving line, generated according to a selected line pattern. Finally, the layer is merged to a target image and the target is then output.

Abstract: A method of primitive distribution and stroke rendering. First, a source image and primitives thereof are obtained. Brightness and contrast values of the source image are obtained and adjusted. Drawing points of the source image are generated using an Error Diffusion Method. Finally, the primitives are rendered at the drawing points, thereby outputting a resulting image.

Abstract: A slideshow composition method, wherein a plurality of images, music data, and transition control parameters are acquired. The music data is then analyzed to acquire feature indices of the music data. An image duration range is determined based on the feature indices and the transition control parameters. A slideshow is composed based on the images, the feature indices and the transition control parameters, such that at least one of the images is displayed for an image duration limited to the image duration range when the slideshow is played.

Abstract: A method for music analysis. The method includes the steps of acquiring a music soundtrack, re-sampling an audio stream of the music soundtrack so that the re-sampled audio stream is composed of blocks, applying FFT to each block, deriving a vector from each transformed block, wherein the vector components are energy summations of the block within different sub-bands, applying auto-correlation to each sequence composed of the vector components of all the blocks in the same sub-band using different tempo values, wherein, for each sequence, a largest correlation result is identified as a confidence value and the tempo value generating the largest correlation result is identified as an estimated tempo, and comparing the confidence values of all the sequences to identify the estimated tempo having the largest confidence value as a final estimated tempo.

Abstract: A method and system of media editing is provided. First, there are audio data with descriptors and visual data with descriptors. According to different types of associated audio descriptors, different correlating process is selected for correlating the audio data and visual data with respective descriptors. According to a correlating solution found by the correlating process, the audio data and visual data with respective descriptors are adjusted to generate a media output in accordance with significant visual change or audio change.
