Abstract: A method is disclosed for altering the redox equilibrium of a transmembrane receptor-like protein tyrosine phosphatase (RPTP), particularly a type IIa RPTP, by chemically modulating the activity through contact of such an enzyme with a diaryl boron compound that preferentially reacts with an RPTP in an oxidized state (CyS-OH). This redox modulation is most readily observed and put to use by assaying the inhibition of the phosphatase activity of the RPTP. Such an assay can be carried out on an enzyme in vitro or by contacting the enzyme in a living organism (in vivo). A useful diaryl boron compound corresponds in structure to Formula I in which Ar-1, Ar-2, R1, R2, R3 and R4 are defined within. A pharmaceutical composition containing a useful diaryl boron compound is also disclosed, as are particularly preferred diaryl boron compounds.

Each column records therein correlation of a domain name to a corresponding network addressing information. An internet protocol device is built therein a preset domain name and acquires an updated network addressing information in the internet. The preset domain name is previously recorded in a specified column of the server. The internet protocol device transfers the preset domain name and the updated network addressing information to the server via the internet so as to locate the specified column and replace the corresponding network addressing information with the updated network addressing information. A user's node is capable of linking to the internet and accessible to the server to acquire the updated network addressing information of the internet protocol device via the internet in response to input of the preset domain name.

Abstract: A setting and previewing method of dynamically orienting 3D models is provided for reading components of an object model and size features of each component from a model database and displaying them on an interface. The method includes the steps of: selecting one of the size features of the component from a storage unit, and reading a viewing parameter from the component that controls the viewing angle of the component; drawing the selected component displaying the size feature according to the viewing parameter; adjusting the viewing angle of the component so that the size feature of the component can be viewed from different viewing angles on the interface; reading a new viewing parameter of the component resulting from the adjusting step, and then saving the new viewing parameter to the storage unit.
