  • Patent number: 6997943
Abstract: A method and apparatus for introducing a stent into a region of a major blood vessel within the human body in a manner which substantially reduces the risk of embolic material escaping to the vessel and causing a blockage at a downstream location. A uniquely designed stent delivery catheter includes a central lumen through which a guide wire travels. The central lumen is provided with a valve means that is operable by the guide wire and when moved into a closed position by withdrawal of the guide wire, functions to prevent the flow of loose debris toward the proximal end of the catheter.

  • Patent number: 5628492
Abstract: A faucet connector device for connecting between a water supply pipe and a faucet, comprises a connector body, a water stopper and a retaining washer. The connector body is a hollow cylinder with each of its inlet end and outlet end having an inner threaded opening for firmly connecting to the water supply pipe and the faucet respectively. Between the openings of the inlet and outlet ends of the connector body defines an axial long circular channel. One end of the channel which is adjacent to the opening of the inlet end has a countersink opening. The water stopper is disposed inside the connector body and has a solid conical stopper head having an inclined conical surface and a driving shaft extending coaxially from a smaller end of the stopper head, wherein the stopper head and the countersink opening have the same conical slant gradient. The driving shaft is disposed in the channel with the stopper head abutting against the countersink opening.

  • Patent number: 5504498
Abstract: A control method for moving a specific portion of a graph performed so that the moving portion of a graph is designated by a first cursor, and a second cursor is set at the point to get the moving portion of the graph to be moved, a main processor computes the position difference values of these cursor, obtains data such as the starting and terminating points of lines and arcs, moves the specific portion of the graph at the predetermined position and displays the moved graph on CRT screen.

  • Patent number: 4519876
Abstract: An improved laser-based method of depositing a metal on an electrically insulated metallic substrate is disclosed. Selected areas of the insulated plate such as an anodized aluminum plate are irradiated with laser energy to fracture the anodized layer and expose underlying aluminum. The plate is immersed in a solution containing copper ions and negatively biased so that a thin layer of copper is electrolytically deposited in the selected areas to form copper features. The method is particularly suited to the rapid production of high quality, durable photographic printing plates with long shelf life.
