The first path is longer than the second path, wherein the first extension contacts with a second material to form a first area of contact while the second extension has a second area of contact with respect to the second dielectric material. One of the ground terminals has a shielding sheet and several groups of elastic arms, and the shielding sheet and the elastic arms are protruding from the corresponding insulating frame; another ground terminal has several shielding portions protruding from the corresponding insulating frame. The ground terminals are contact with each other along a shielding direction, and the groups of elastic arms are respectively abutted against the shielding portions. In a space, which is surroundingly defined by the contour of the shielding sheet extending along the shielding direction, the shielding direction passes through at least one of the shielding sheet, the elastic arms, and the shielding portions.

Each of the latch members is secured to each sidewall of the connection base, and has a latch arm. After the lid member covers over, the brake shafts actuate the latch arms in order to engage the recesses of the flat cable.

A connector insulator includes signal terminal openings and L-shaped or U-shaped grounding terminal openings. Thus, the grounding terminal can be engaged with the L-shaped or U-shaped grounding terminal opening. Although the grounding terminal is not in U shape, the grounding terminal and the grounding terminal opening surround the signal terminals. Therefore, the grounding terminal still provides an EMI shielding similar to that of a conventional U-shaped grounding terminal.

Each locking piece is provided with a pivot hole, and the pivot hole is fitted with the pivot shaft of the insulating body. The locking piece is formed with an elastic arm by extending from a wall surface of the pivot hole. The elastic arm abuts against the pivot shaft. Via this arrangement, the locking piece is simple in structure, and can be manufactured easily, thereby reducing production costs.
