Abstract: An electrical connector includes an insulating body and a number of terminal groups. The insulating body includes a mating slot, a first notch and a second notch. The first notch and the second notch are symmetrically arranged on opposite sides of the mating slot. The terminal groups include a first conductive terminal, a second conductive terminal, a third conductive terminal and a fourth conductive terminal. Each conductive terminals includes a mating portion extending into the mating slot. With this arrangement, relatively more terminal groups can be provided, which is beneficial to improve the speed of data transmission. A connector assembly having the electrical connector is also disclosed.

Abstract: The present invention provides a positioning structure of the electrical connector comprising a housing with a slot and a plurality of terminals, at least two side arms positioned on the two side of the housing, every side arm is comprising an extension plate which assembled to the housing, a movable arm and a fixed arm, and the fixed arm has an inserting plate extending downwardly, and at least two positioning sets respectively receiving the side arms. Every positioning set comprises a straight plate and the bent plates respectively positioned on the two sides of the straight plate, a receiving chamber is formed between the bent plates for receiving the inserting plate.

The movable arm and the fixed arm are formed in a single-piece structure. The movable arm is for buckling the electronic card. The positioning set comprises a welding portion, a first plane, a bent portion extending upwardly from the first plane and a second plane extending downwardly from the bent portion.
