Patent number: 7403572Abstract: A method of preventing interference of signals transmitted from electronic input devices to a computer host. An identification is generated for each individual electronic device. A receiving unit is connected to the computer host. The identification frequencies are pre-stored in the receiving unit. The receiving unit performs scanning of signals transmitted from the electronic devices with a scanning cycle. The receiving unit switches between a plurality of detection sequences within each scanning cycle. When signals are transmitted from the electronic devices, the receiving unit receives the signals within the detection sequences corresponding to the electronic devices that transmitting the signals. The identification frequencies carried by the signals are compared to the pre-stored identification frequencies to ensure the signals being received at respective frequency channels.Type: GrantFiled: November 2, 2004Date of Patent: July 22, 2008Assignee: Topseed Technology Corp.Inventor: Chung-Ping Chi

Patent number: 7337015Abstract: A method and an apparatus for controlling a digital electronic product, using a control signal transmitter and a signal receiver combined with a gate system for controlling a digital home appliance, such that a system activation/inactivation control mechanism is established. The on/off status of the gate system is remotely controlled by the control signal transmitter. In the process of switching off the gate system, a basic input/output system (BIOS) for executing switching on/off is used to detect whether the external connecting port is connected to a signal receiver. When the system is in the off status, the electric connection to the signal receiver is maintained, such that the activation control signal from the control signal transmitter can be received any time. Thereby, the signal status of the signal receiver can be changed to automatically switch on the gate system, and the control signal transmitter can thus remotely control operation of the digital home appliance.Type: GrantFiled: December 28, 2004Date of Patent: February 26, 2008Assignee: Topseed Technology Corp.Inventor: Chung-Ping Chi

Publication number: 20070133994Abstract: An automatic frequency hopping remote controller automatically switches its channel when the transmission of a remote control signal is interfered. The remote controller includes a transmitting end and a corresponding receiving end; the transmitting end includes a first signal transceiver capable of transmitting signals through several channels and an input device, such that the remote control signal can be transmitted from a predetermined channel by a trigger instruction of the input device, and the receiving end is a second signal transceiver installed in an electronic device for receiving the remote control signal from the transmitting end. If the quality at a received signal is evaluated as poor, the remote controller will automatically switch to another receiving channel and send a frequency hopping signal to the transmitting end, so that the transmitting end will switch to that channel correspondingly, and the next remote control signal will be transmitted through that channel.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 9, 2005Publication date: June 14, 2007Inventor: Chung-Ping Chi

Publication number: 20070033304Abstract: A computer communicates with a plurality of input devices through unidirectional multi-channels. The computer includes a receiver capable of receiving signals of multi-channels. The transmitters of different input devices use different communication channels. The receiver includes memory to store the different communication channels used by the different input devices whereby the receiver can receive signals according to a predetermined channel sequence. The receiver is triggered to a training mode when the user changes an assigned channel for an input device. The input device sends switched channel information characterized by ID code through a common channel to the receiver and then the receiver receives the signal from the input device according to the switched channel information.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 3, 2005Publication date: February 8, 2007Inventor: Chung-Ping Chi
