Abstract: Safety eyeglasses having a metal frame are provided with integrally molded side shields. The frame includes a lens frame, a pair of metal temples hingedly connected on opposing sides of the lens frame, and side shields formed from a hardenable, liquid transparent resin material integrally connected to a mounting portion of the metal temples in the vicinity of the hinge connection. The mounting portion of the metal temples includes discontinuities which preferably take the form of a plurality of grooves to form an interference type joint between a fixing portion of the side shields that is molded around the grooved mounting portion to permanently join the side shields to the metal temples.

Abstract: Disclosed is an assembly structure of rimless eyeglasses capable of ensuring fixing between lenses and a bridge, and fixing between the lenses and temple connectors with no gap, and of minimizing break of the lenses by shock. The assembly structure of rimless eyeglasses for assembling the bridge and the temple connectors to the lenses includes: locking pin slits and bolt holes formed in the lenses; locking pins and bolts formed on the bridge and the temple connectors, the locking pins and the bolts being inserted and fit into the locking pin slits and the bolt holes of the lenses; support pads respectively having two holes and being fit on the locking pins and the bolts through the holes thereof to hold the locking pins and the bolts integrally; and nuts being fit and fastened to the bolts.

Abstract: A method for preselecting resources in a personal area network includes providing (300) a plurality of communication devices with sharable resources on the personal area network. One of the communication devices is a radiotelephone used for preselecting (302) the resources for a particular personal area network configuration. These preselected resources are assigned (304) a named profile on the radiotelephone. A user can then select (306) the profile as a menu item or by a voice tag. The radiotelephone then automatically coordinates information transfer protocols (308) with the resources in the personal area network per the selected profile. The profile is used to quickly define and coordinate resources in a personal area network to suit a user's changing environment.
