    Abstract: This invention provides a pivot for a cantilever brake of a mountain bicycle. The pivot is composed of a terraced pipe body and a separately formed lobe plate, which substitute for the integral structure of a conventional brake pivot in order to prevent the lobe plate from being torn by the pulling force of the brake spring.
